However, although the cable works fine my tester says it has a short. Not sure if it has to do with the connectors, the cable (cat5), or the tester being finicky. But the cable does work.
Question:	What's the key difference between the $20 (226-107) crimper and the $45 (226-110) crimper
Answer:	To me it looks like the 107 doesn't do the pass through connectors. It is smaller in size that the 110 model it might fit your pocket better than the 110. But since I only use the pass through connectors the 107 wouldn't work for me.

Answer:	The multi-functional wire cutter is capable of cutting off the extra wire but I would have to see what you're referring to in order to know if this tool will work for you. The cutting edge is set back on the jaw and the wire-stripping edge is at the front of the jaw so if you could get your extra wire into the back of the cutting jaw than you should be good.

Question:	Which batteries does the tester need? i’ve seen a similar device use two aaas and one 9v. the product descrp. says there are none, but reviews say yes
Answer:	yes, you can check the product description, we stated that it is not suitable for Cat 7 or Cat 6 cable, also do not suitable for 4P plugs.
Question:	Will the crimper cut the cat5 "wires" of the cable fed thru the connector after crimping to the correct length
Answer:	The instructions say no, but I have made them work for my cat6 cable.
Question:	can I use the connectors with CAT6 wire
Answer:	It will work on RJ9 (4 pin), RJ11 (6 pin), and RJ45 (8 pin) connectors. There are 3 different slots on the crimper. The tester only works on RJ11 & RJ45.
Question:	Will the crimper work on rj11/rj12 ends
Answer:	this is tool required to terminate cat5 / cat6 wire with rj45 connectors, of which 100 are included. you have to know how to put the wires in the correct order and cut to length, and to use the tool to crimp the connector. there are several youtube videos that show you how to do this.

Question:	What is it about this crimper that makes it unable to handle Cat 6 cables, as stated in the description
Answer:	Yes, and no. The crimpers will work with any standard RJ45-11-12 end. But true Cat 6 cable has a thicker conductor and requires a Cat6 end. They are much harder to put ends on. I dont recommend building your own Cat6 patch cables, terminate to jacks and purchase certified cables. If it is for terminating outdoors and that is not an option, just get the right ends.

Answer:	The large was a tiny bit larger than my specialized gloves, so I may end up getting another pair in a medium. If you are somewhere between a medium and large normally I would get the medium, but if you are closer to an extra large from large normally, go with the large. Hope that helps!
