Also I strip about 1/2" outer insulation and wrap the shield back over so that that I screw over the shield wires, too. I used one outside and it pulled out in a strong wind. Using a tie wrap as a strain relief close to the connector is a good idea for outdoor or even indoor use if the cable has strain (or you have cats) in normal use. |
