User questions & answers

Question:	can you charge it while using it? (ie never have to worry about turning it off when you turn the car off
Answer:	The SB360 has no battery so it can't be charged and consequently, it turns off immediately when electrical power is removed. However, if and when the power is removed depends on the car model. Some cars permanently provide power to the cigarette lighter (power) ports, even when the ignition/accessory switch is turned off. In that case if you leave the SB360's power supply connected, the power supply will eventually run down the battery. Some cars leave the power switched on to the power/cigarette-lighter ports for about 10 minutes. Some cars turn the power off (to those ports) as soon as the ignition switch is turned off.If the power is left on, the SB360 will shut down after 10 minutes of inactivity, but if you've got the SB360 plugged into a power supply that doesn't turn itself off when connected to an always-on cigarette lighter port, then the power supply itself will drain your battery even though the SB360 turns itself off. (That happened to me.)
Question:	Does this turn on automatically when I start my car and does it connect automatically
Answer:	Yes, it turns on automatically when USB power is turned on. If your USB port stays powered when your car is off, the SB360 will also stay powered. And yes, it re-connects automatically to your phone when the USB power comes on.
Question:	is there engine whine
Answer:	I have a 2009 Lexus IS250 that does not have a built-in USB port and yes, there is a whiny noise that fluctuates with engine speed. I tried several different charge adapters and got noise from the accessory and cigarette power sources. I also tested this out on our 2011 Jaguar XF that has a built-in USB port and there was no noise, so I think if you have to use a car charger (even the one that comes with this kit, because it too was noisy), just go ahead and get the adapter too. Soundbot makes a ground loop noise isolator adapter (SoundBot SB363) that completely eliminated the noise, so I can recommend it too. Once the noise issue was sorted this thing works really really well.
Question:	does it work if you dont have an aux plug in you car
Answer:	My car is old, and has a cassette player with no aux output. I bought this item (SoundBot SB360) along with a Phillips tape adapter (that brand works best in my car) and a 3.5mm coupler. It works perfectly. I just coil the excess cords and put them in the little shelf-cubby-thing behind my shifter...if you don't have a space like that, just add some automatic cord winders to your order to manage the excess.

Q1: What is the Function of a Bluetooth Receiver?

A1: It's for enabling Bluetooth function on non-Bluetooth car/speaker/earphones so you can enjoy wireless music from a smartphone.



Pairing Steps:

1. Plug Mpow BH129 into your non-Bluetooth car/speaker's 3. 5mm aux port

2. Power on Mpow BH129 Bluetooth receiver

3. Enable Bluetooth on your phone, search and connect to "BH129"

4. After connecting Mpow with your phone, start to enjoy wireless music

5. NOTE: If you want to transfer the audio signal to your Bluetooth Devices like Bluetooth Headsets/speakers from TV/PC, you could search and connect Mpow Bluetooth Transmitter on those devices.



Q2: How to charge Mpow 129? Can I use it while charging?

A2: 1. Charge with the equipped micro USB charging cable. After fully charged, the indicator light would turn off.

2. BH129 also could be used while charging, however, there might be some current noises and a ground loop noise isolator would remove it.



Q3: Does it turn off automatically after being disconnected for a while?

A3: 1. When BH129 is left not streaming for 10 minutes, it will automatically enter sleeping mode with the indicator lights off to save power; then if you want to reconnect BH129 please short press any button to active paring mode with the indicator flashing blue and red alternately.

2. NOTE: If you want to turn BH129 off, please turn it off manually.

3. NOTE: It would not turn on automatically even at the Sleeping Mode.



Q4: Why Mpow BH129 Bluetooth Receiver could not auto re-connect to my phone?

A4: 1. Mpow could auto re-connect to the LAST paired Bluetooth device after rebooting.

2. NOTE: If your BH129 is in sleeping mode, you need to wake it by pressing any button to active paring mode with the indicator flashing blue and red alternately.

3. NOTE: If you turn off the Bluetooth on your phone last time connected to BH129, it requires manually connecting BH129 on your phone.

Question:	Can I connect this item to my desktop PC and headphone respectively
Answer:	This is a Bluetooth RECEIVER, not a Bluetooth TRANSMITTER. So if, per the other answers above, your headphones are already Bluetooth, this will not help you. However, if you have regular wired headphones that you want to wirelessly connect to a desktop that already has a Bluetooth transmitter, then this will work for that purpose.
Question:	will this turn off automatically
Answer:	These two answers conflict with each other. But so does the description, with a note saying please turn off because it won't turn off automatically. And if feature saying that it will automatically turn off if unplugged for 10 seconds to save battery. Which is it? Ideally, I would like to use it for a stereo in my garage. That will always be plugged in.
Question:	Does it auto connect to the phone once you re-enter the car? Assuming it’s always on and always plugged in
Answer:	Based on what I see from the answers, the answer is "No". If you have to press a power button for it to auto-connect, then it's not automatic. If it powers off after a while and requires you to hit to power button to turn on then it's not automatic. If it powers off but powers on when there's power to it, then it's automatic. But since it doesn't seem to do this, it's not auto-connect.
Question:	Is it possible to charge the device while playing
Answer:	Yes I leave it plugged in while playing on my bike.
