Question:	Can anyone tell me how long four aa batteries last in either the 1x or 1c? i'm assuming the 1c eats up batteries more than the 1x
Answer:	I have the 1C, It uses AAA not AA. A set will last about 6 hours. That's non stop use. I wanted to make a AA converter to get a longer run time because when we're out fishing, we won't be back at camp for 8 to 10 hours. I would always use good name brand batteries. you can chew through batteries.

Answer:	Yes,this Lucky fish finder can work well in salt water. It is suitable for ocean、lakes and rivers. Hope this helps.
Question:	can you mount the transistor in side the kayak
Answer:	Usually people will fix the transducer on the hull of the kayak (the outside). Because the transducer can only be working when it touches the water.
Question:	Does it work well for ice fishing
Answer:	Yes it works well for ice fishing, although you must drop the transducer below the ice in order for it to read depth accurately. I also found that it has the potential to mis-detect large tube jigs as a fish, but I actually don’t mind that as it tells me how deep my bait is. I also use this with my kayak mounted with the bracket, so I get double duty. Battery life is fantastic even in below zero temps. I’ve been out with it on several outings below freezing and I’m still on the same set of batteries! I would recommend this product.

For Kayak Fishing

1. Attach the Side-Scan Adapter to the boat hull using the mounting tabs.
2. Break though the hull of a boat. Place the fishing sonar sensor against the hull bottom 1 inch underwater.
3. The moving speed of kayak should be below 5mph.

For Ice Fishing

1. You should clear the snow on the ice layer. Make sure the surface is smooth enough. Put the LUCKY fish finder portable directly on ice layer to detect fish distribution in purpose of selecting a place to drill a hole.
2. There should be no air between the sensor and the ice and no air between ice layer and the underwater either. Otherwise, the portable fish finder will not work properly.
3. Cut a hole through the ice and put the fishing sonar sensor directly in the water. Enjoy the fishing gear

For Shore Fishing

1. Fixed the removable float on the cable.
2. Cast the fishing sonar transducer into water as far as you can.

Answer:	yes it can interfere
Question:	Does the unit only give surface water temperature
Answer:	No, I enjoy fishing in my pontoon boat and use it to determine depth, so I know what line to use and how long till I’m at bottom. The unit comes with a good book of directions, l think it also shows any fish in area as well.
Question:	Can it shoot through the hull? My sailboat is too high off the water to reach over the rail
Answer:	The instructions say that it can shoot through the hull but the unit must be in a little water and in close contact with the hull to do it. Also, the hull must be solid fiberglass, no air pockets, or a maximum of 1/8" aluminum.
Question:	Does this work well in muddy waters
Answer:	I'm a scuba instructor who uses this to find depth in local lakes for classes. We encounter zero visibility conditions quite often however I have not had an issue with the unit working. The only time the reading struggles is if the bottom is exceptionally soft.

For Kayak Fishing

1. Attach the Side-Scan Adapter to the boat hull using the mounting tabs.
2. Break though the hull of a boat. Place the fishing sonar sensor against the hull bottom 1 inch underwater.
3. The moving speed of kayak should be below 5mph.

For Ice Fishing

1. You should clear the snow on the ice layer. Make sure the surface is smooth enough. Put the LUCKY fish finder portable directly on ice layer to detect fish distribution in purpose of selecting a place to drill a hole.
2. There should be no air between the sensor and the ice and no air between ice layer and the underwater either. Otherwise, the portable fish finder will not work properly.
3. Cut a hole through the ice and put the fishing sonar sensor directly in the water. Enjoy the fishing gear

1.Clear the snow and expose the ice.

2.Put a small amount of liquid water on the ice and put the sonar sensors on the water .

3.Start the depth detection function.

4.Place the product vertically above the water to get the correct depth reading.

5.After getting the correct reading, move the product around in a scanning manner (similar to using a flashlight). Obtain depth readings while side - scanning sonar. Signal must point to a solid surface within 300 feet (90 meters) to work normally. You need to aim the device at the bottom of the range.

Depth Model

1. Put the sonar sensor side into the water.Use your hand to position the product vertically on the water, otherwise reading will be inaccurate.

2. Turn the toggle switch on the fish finder.

3. Display current depth.

•when the fish finder is in depth mode, the depth data will be updated four times per second at a depth of 2.5 to 300 feet (0.8 to 90 meters).

•If the probe can't get an accurate depth reading, or off the water, "- - -" will show up.

4.If the correct reading is not obtained, the device will automatically shut down after 30 seconds.

Switching The Reads

1. Turn the unit on by sliding the switch towards the battery compartment and releasing.

2. Slide the switch towards the battery compartment and hold for 5 seconds.

3. The current units of measure will blink, release the switch

4. Pull and release the switch to change between the settings (FT/ F M/C)

5. No action for 10 seconds, save the last setting (depth or temperature) and exit the unit setting.
