I did have a similar case for my iPhone 4 last year and the pictures came out fine, but I didn't use it underwater. I needed a different case now that I have an iPhone 5, that's why I bought this one. It fits the phone fine, but like I said . . . I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'm not planning on using it underwater though . . . but more for just protection of my phone at the beach or pool so it doesn't get wet by accident. Sorry I couldn't give you more information.
