Question:	I am planning to use A118 as a security surveillance DVR for the car. If I plug in or hardwire to 12V fuse over night, would it drain battery
Answer:	I believe the input power to this unit is 5v and 1000 mA so ~5 watts, and if your car battery is rated at 12 V and 40 Ahrs so ~500 watts. You should be able to run this unit for 100 hrs from your car battery. You could have trouble starting your car depending how long you left the camera running also if there is one day you do not start your car I would say its not going to start if the camera is left running. You also have to be sure that you run the car enough during the day to charge back the power lost from running the camera at night, otherwise one unexpected day your car just wont start. So short answer one night should not completely drain your battery, but might be enough to have starting issues.

Answer:	Hello,I am sorry you are having trouble but I will do my best to explain the answer box space provided. The main way to attach the camera is with the mount/clip. You should see a plastic piece that you can attach the sticky 3M red tape to on the back and groves on the other side where the B40 slides in and out of if you want to detach. The other accessories include a sleeve which hide your wires and bracket mounts which help in hiding and bundling them together. Question:	Can this be hardwired directly to battery? the car is bmw
Answer:	Use an Add-a-Circuit device at the fuse block plus a ground wire and a dependable 12V to mini-USB adapter such as EDO. Check your fuse block for the correct fuse type. Use the smallest fuse you can find (2A?) I'd stick with a well-known brand for the adapter for safety. Most auto parts stores sell the necessary stuff. Be sure to use a fuse circuit that is switched with the ignition (or the delayed power circuit on some cars that keep accessory power on until the door is opened).
Question:	Does the GPS track the speed or just the location
Answer:	It logs the location coordinates and time. From that, an appropriate viewing software can calculate the speed as well. I use Registrator Viewer when I want to see my speed and location displayed while viewing. You can toggle between metric and standard. Question:	Does the camera update it's time and date from GPS signal so that they never become wrong after long periods of not using vehicle
Answer:	Yes it does. However, it does not correct for daylight savings time. I'm in the Easter time zone but set the camera to Atlantic time during Daylight Savings Time so that the date/time stamp is correct.
Question:	Does anyone know if Black Box offers any warranty with these dash cams? I just had my first dash cam (different camera) go out after 6 months of use
Answer:	I called on this & several other issues. I talked to competitors and got the most information on how things are made in China for this particular product and what "Black Box" actually means. According to these two companies there are small assembly houses, about 150 cottage assembly houses was estimated just for this product. The term "Black Box" is not the name of the company as you would expect. It actually just is a generic term for Dash Cam. Honoring your warranty is mostly based on the US importer that supplies Amazon. So you need to find out what you can from Amazon and the supplier. Where they are located etc to see if it is an enforceable policy as well as satisfaction from other customers in the US. I have not had a problem yet so nothing else that I can report.

Answer:	I would recommend the fiberglass poles, they are more flexible to install ;-)
Question:	Why don't the LED lights come on
Answer:	Well it says each pole is 27inches which is a little over 2 feet. All together you get roughly 8feet of poles. Measure your old ones and compare if you still have them . I have an Ozark 2 person tent and it takes 2-13foot poles for a 7foot by 7foot. If that helps for comparison. I'm not good with centimeters, sorry.
Question:	Will this record mutiple 10 min videos? If so how many? For example, if I go on an hour drive will it record the whole trip
Answer:	Fiberglass tent poles only come in millimeter-measured sizes, so if you measured 3/8" it would be the 9.5mm pole size. The standard pole sizes are: 7.9mm (tent flap), 8.5mm, 9.5mm, 11.2mm and 12.7mm. (I do not know if these sizes carry over to aluminum poles.)
Question:	New out of the box. it recorded for 1m 38s and it froze. pushing the buttons does nothing. can't even turn it off. anyone else had this issue
Answer:	I have used it with an 8 X 10 impact screen for a golf simulator and it works fine. I had to cut the 10' pipes down to 8' to put it together, but it was easy. And I use the impact screen as the screen for a home theatre set up. Works great.
