Answer:	Yes they can be put on mono block, that's what I have set up. Just don't bridge it, it's only 2ohm stable not 1.

Answer:	I've used it temporarily on the sealed enclosure version of these. BOSS amps are cheap for a reason though. Poor sound quality and it doesn't push anywhere near the 1000 watts these can handle. If you want a cheap amp that actually sounds good I'd recommend the Power Acoustik rzr1-2500d it's not 1000 watts RMS but it'll do 700+ on good electrical & sounds Way better than the boss amp

Answer:	I have had these subs in the box 4 going on 6 years with a 3000 watt competition massive amp pushing 800 watts RMS bridged making it 200% overpowered I paid $122 for them six years ago and they are still thumping to this day

Answer:	Be careful not to blow it cuz sub is only about 4-500 rms.. I had 1 on a 1200.1D hifonics and went ahead and bought a 2nd to run so amp can get to full potential out of amp.

Answer:	I can’t think of a reason it wouldn’t work. I run a boss 1500 and it sounds great so as long as your EQ and tune are good you’ll be fine.

Answer:	They would hold up fine. Since these subs are dual 4ohm you could run three of them at 8ohms and the fourth at 2 ohms, and if you ran them all parallel after that it would bring your final impedance down to 1.14ohms.

Answer:	If you were to tune the amp using math to calculate the max power output the amp will output, you could have this installed in a 2100 watt system and NOT blow it up or damage it in any way. So the answer depends on how much of the 2100 watts is being pushed through the speaker in question. 2100 watts (full power) would destroy the voice coil in this case.

If you are listening to music at very low volumes you are not damaging your equipment and are only sending a couple of Watts or less to the drivers. Driver damage comes from trying to pull more power from your amp than it can safely deliver driving it to clipping the output signal (assuming the input signal is not already clipped). So yes your 500 Watt max power (Likely 250 Watts RMS) will still power the speaker just fine, it just might not get as loud as you'd like.

Answer:	I've never owned a ds 18 but a quick search they dont seem to be near the same quality. The skar are based on the design of gen 1 sundown and are very high in quality and proform very well.

Answer:	I have 10g wires and it good but you can use 8,10, or 12

Answer:	The 6.5" speaker is rated at 200 watts RMS. You could power it with a 600 watt RMS power amp, but if you use anywhere near the maximum clean output of the amplifier to drive the speaker, kiss it goodbye first.

Answer:	The JL audio 500/1v2 is a great option. You would be more than pleased. It would push 250 watts RMS to each sub. Good clean accurate power.
Question:	What size amp would you recommend for one of these subs
Answer:	I would recommend a 1000w, as it will give the sub plenty of power, and won't work the amp as hard so it'll stay cooler. I have my gain turned down on my 1000w, the amp didn't even get hot. I have my gain at around 70%. I've also run the sub at 100% gain from the amp, it just hits harder and deeper. Not sure if there will be long term effects that may impact the subs life though, putting more juice to it then what kicker rates it at.
Question:	what amp can i use to power 2 of these
Answer:	I use a rockford fosgate R1200-1D amp to push 2 of these subs. and a Rockford Fosgate Prime R1000-1D 1,000-Watt Mono Amplifier on my other 2 subs. All 4 subs are kicker cvr 12's. They slam hard On both amp's, keep in mind i have a second battery and a 20 farad capacitor. with all 0 gauge wires.
