Alpine is a well-known brand in the car audio industry, and they offer a range of subwoofers, including 10-inch subwoofers. Here's what you need to know about Alpine 10-inch subwoofers:
Size: A 10-inch subwoofer is a popular choice for car audio enthusiasts because it strikes a good balance between producing deep, impactful bass and fitting into a variety of vehicle setups. It can provide a significant improvement in the bass response of a car audio system.
Power Handling: Alpine 10-inch subwoofers come in various models with different power handling capabilities. It's essential to match the subwoofer's power handling with your amplifier's capabilities to ensure optimal performance and prevent damage to the subwoofer.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity is a measure of how efficiently a subwoofer converts power into sound. Higher sensitivity ratings indicate greater efficiency. Alpine typically designs their subwoofers to have good sensitivity, which means they can produce more sound with less power input.
Enclosure Type: The type of enclosure or box used for the subwoofer can significantly impact its performance. Alpine offers both sealed and ported subwoofers, allowing you to choose the type of bass response that suits your preferences and vehicle setup.
Voice Coil Configuration: Alpine subwoofers may come with single or dual voice coils. Dual voice coil subwoofers offer more wiring options, allowing you to match the subwoofer to your amplifier's impedance requirements and achieve the desired sound output.
Frequency Response: Alpine designs their subwoofers to provide a wide frequency response, ensuring that they can reproduce both low-frequency bass notes and higher-frequency tones accurately.
Build Quality: Alpine is known for its quality construction and durable materials. Their subwoofers typically feature robust cones, surrounds, and voice coils designed to withstand the rigors of car audio use.
Installation: Proper installation is crucial for getting the best performance from an Alpine 10-inch subwoofer. This includes selecting the right enclosure, ensuring proper wiring, and tuning the system for optimal sound quality.
Compatibility: Before purchasing an Alpine 10-inch subwoofer, make sure it is compatible with your vehicle and audio system.Consider factors such as available space, amplifier compatibility, and enclosure type.
Price Range: Alpine offers a range of 10-inch subwoofers with varying features and price points. It's a good idea to compare different models to find one that fits your budget and meets your performance requirements.
Alpine 10-inch subwoofers are popular among car audio enthusiasts due to their reputation for quality and performance. User questions & answers
Question: | what is the perfect amp for these subwoofers |
Answer: | top-mount depth: 4 3/4 inches Bottom-mount depth: 5 1/2 inches |
Question: | Is this sub suitable for a down-firing enclosure |
Answer: | Depends on the constant RMS output of this amp (not peak). I've got a true regulated 500 watts going to each sub and the performance is excellent. Keep in mind, airspace with this sub is critical. The punch of this in a sealed box is very hard, but this is not the deep boom of a sub. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is a good amp to pair with this sub |
Answer: | I’m using the Alpine MRV-M500 on 1 of these subs. It sounds awesome! But I would say match the RMS of the amp to the subs. If you run 2 subs, get a 1200 watt RMS version. |

Answer: | Yes! Mine is in a down-firing box under the back seat of my truck. Sounds clean and crisp and thumps great |
Question: | Mounting depth |
Answer: | That amp should work fine. Well under power for the sub |
Question: | What sizes box is recommended for sealed application |
Answer: | I would not place these in a utv. Try marine grade speakers |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit in the stock sub location in a 2001 Tahoe |
Answer: | I didn't buy the case made specifically for the AR but that's what I put in mine. I have a 16" .223 Wylde with a flash hider and iron sights (although there is room to cut the foam to fit an optic) and it fits that rifle perfectly. There was enough room for me to cut out additional foam so I can carry my .300 BLK upper in the same case along with two mags for each. I think you'll be fine with just the MK4 as this case appears to be the same length. |
Question: | can i run this sub with a RE S.A 500.1 amp that pushes 150 watts rms |
Answer: | We more often then not can provide replacement parts if needed. Please call us at 877-412-2737 |
Question: | Will a 400 watt pioneer amp make this sub hit and sound good |
Answer: | If the AR-15 has a collapsible stock and is less than 39.5" in overall length then it will fit. In my experience 20" barrel AR15's are right on the line of fitting/not fitting, so I would definitely take a measurement of your rifle and optics before purchase to ensure fit. |
Question: | Help please?? I'm trying to see what size 8" subwoofer offer deeper bass!...I am trying to choose between Alpine,Kiicker, JBL, and Pioneer |
Answer: | You can't beat this gun case for the money. I place it somewhere between the lower end plano and the upper end pelican. I have know complaints with this product. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can the rubber protective part surrounding the actual speaker (where the screw holes are) be entirely removed? That'll be too thick for my situation |
Answer: | I went with the small/34" and it fits the M&P 15 Sport 2 with an optic with no problems. Not a lot of room for other stuff but the rifle fits just fine. |
Question: | This price is for 1 or 2 speakers |
Answer: | Wingman,The hinge pins and latch pins cannot easily be knocked out whilst the case is closed. One would need ample time and likely tools to remove the pins while the case is closed. |
Question: | Would this fit a ram stock alpine subwoofer box |
Answer: | Inside foam is 12 3/4" total, so it would be tight |
Question: | Hello, i have a question about 2 series speaks, alpine s-w8d4 and w8d2 s-series. i am not sure which one is compatible my 2014 jeep wrangler |
Answer: | No, the cutout is 35 1/2" from end to end |
