I would not recommend this unit because of all the resetting you have to do. Side note the light only stays on for about 1 second.

Answer:	It fattens the phone a bit, which makes holding it a bit easier for me, because the bare phone is pretty thin and slick. That said, this case is noticeably more compact than the Otterbox Defender, which is a beast, but probably the best known alternative.
