Answer:	A crossover does two things. It separates frequencies from each driver that would ultimately hurt both sound and the mechanical motor of the driver. There are way better crossovers on the market. Some with a 6db roll off, 12 and 18db roll off. The higher the better to maximize both highs, mids and tighten up bass response. Most sub $500.00 speakers sold did not have a crossover installed. Installing one could change the sound of your speakers drastically. To do so, you need to do some homework on the speakers.

Answer:	this is a crossover. its not a mixer but it takes the out via XLR Balanced form the mixer on the way to your speakers. on the way to the speakers the cross over that your asking about will send the bass, mids, and highs to the correct speakers that you should already own.crossover doesn't work to well if you don't have the right speaker set up. but to answer your question you need XLR strings to wire this. little advice unless you abousltly need this and know how to take advantage of it you do know the XLR cables to wire this will probably cost more then the crossover!

You could make it sound more bassy by turning down the higher frequencies but that's working backwards. If you want more bass I would suggest using the money to buy a more powerful amplifier. (Or again getting a subwoofer)

Question:	so if i got Boss amps will i need a Boss crossover
Answer:	Not really unless you want to keep all the equipment the same.
