Connect to the TV:

Question:	Can I record while the camera is charging? If I have a portable charger, could I have the camera plugged into that and still record
Answer:	I think the answers are confusing to some. Here's the scoop. You can use an external battery pack like the one you charge your Iphone with or you can plug it into a USB port or you can use the 110v adapter with USB cable plugged in. When you do those following things the camera is running off those power sources and not your battery. And yes, you can record while plugged into those external power sources. The battery will not charge when doing that and recording but that should not be a problem. Charge your battery at home. Now start recording and when your battery gets low plug into your external battery pack or USB and keep going. I own this camera and did the experiment. I use this in my car as a dash cam and it's plugged into my cigarette lighter and it runs non stop without using the battery.

(I only use this camera to record "tutoring" sessions with one student for a college requirement). It has met my needs, but I would not use this camera to record family events. I would want a better quality.

Answer:	You can plug the Shure directly into your USB input... But the volume may be too low... try it, can't hurt anything. If too low, you may need to run the mic through a mixer first, or maybe a direct box. I don't know for sure. I would google it, or go to a local music store with a good sound system dept.

Answer:	I had the same problem. You need to use a smaller or faster external drive. I use a 500-GB Seagate SSD drive, but a 32-GB Sandisk thumb drive should also work.

Answer:	No. The capture box will record static and blue screen as long as the recording media is not filled. When the recording media is filled, recording ends but the capture box will continue to show that recording continues.
