Answer:	I think you would have a very good chance of blocking some of the sensors that enable Face ID. If you shine a flashlight at the top of the iPad where the camera is you can just make out about 5 sensors including the camera that power the system. If you wanted to give it a try my suggestion would be to orient the cover vertically instead of horizontal to try and minimize any overlap. Personal note: I have these installed on my MacBook and iMac, I am not nearly as concerned about my iPhone and iPad. They are by design much more locked down/protected than the more open architecture of the Mac. In any case, good luck!
