Answer:	You are able to add the New Blink Indoor and/or Blink Outdoor to an existing Blink System. If adding Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras to an existing Blink system that has been activated on or before 4/15/20, you will be grandfathered into your current free cloud storage model in the Blink app. Systems activated after 4/15/20 will receive motion alerts and be able to enter Live View for free, with the option to access video recordings in the Blink app through a cloud storage subscription. Local Storage options are available with the Sync Module 2 and a removable USB storage drive.
Question:	Will this camera detect outdoor motion if mounted inside, close to a window
Answer:	My daughter has installed several of these cameras in her business. She was recently broken in the middle of the night into and the camera that she had pointed directly at the glass door showed the burglar outside on the patio and they caught the break in clearly. With the help of that camera showing the door being forced and other cameras throughout the business, the alarm on her phone allowed her to call the police even before the alarm company did. They caught the would be thief within minutes.

Answer:	Cable end connected to the Mini Camera is Micro USB, and the other end connected to the power source (any phone charger) is USB-A.
Question:	Is the system secured from hackers
Answer:	Nothing is 100% secure, what you need to do is balance the risk vs reward. MOST people will NEVER be hacked or have any issues.. maybe .. 1-2% will. My opinion only, I can not speak or influence anyone. If networks are secured and have passwords etc.. hacking is very rare and I have not had any issues with it so far.

I gave my mom the password and she was able to download the app for the camera and log in and watch her as well when I couldn’t. I also gave the info to the person I had watch her when we were both out of town so it can be used on multiple phones. They just need to download the app and have the username and password.

Answer:	Ring gives you lifetime protection against theft. If someone steals the camera, get a police report and Ring will replace it for free. A one year warranty is included when you buy the camera. If you subscribe to the Ring Protect Plus Plan within the original one year warranty period, Ring will give you a lifetime warranty for as long as you keep your Ring Protect Plus subscription active. Question:	what is the range of motion sensor
Answer:	They shortened the range with an update in Sept 2019. We are lucky to get more than 10 feet out of it, and by the time the Ring is activated and alerts us the person is already at the door. We are fighting for them to change back for removing an advertised feature or full refund.

Answer:	Currently, i have two ring cameras running off of an aftermarket outdoor solar panel i purchased on Amazon which had TWO USB ports out. Both cameras are always at 100% power.

Answer:	The sync module 2 will still function like a traditional sync module, compatible with all generations of Blink cameras, however, only Blink Indoor and Outdoor and Blink Mini cameras will be compatible with local storage functionality. All other generations of cameras (indoor, XT and XT2) will be cloud based if/when they are added to the SM2. All existing customers who have an account created on or before 4/15/2020 will receive free cloud storage on all devices added to their account going forward, including Mini, and Blink Indoor and Outdoor.
Question:	Will this connect to my existing blink (last generation) system
Answer:	Yes, the New Blink Outdoor camera can be added to your existing Blink System.
Question:	How fast do they begin recording after motion? My arlo cameras continually miss cars coming in the driveway
Answer:	The recording starts immediately upon motion sensing. The *Early Notification* Beta setting alerts you within 5 seconds of motion detection, and you can access the Live View from your phone and choose whether you'd like to keep the live view clip. The live view clip then saves for as long as you'd like to continuously watch (which you'll be prompted to do), otherwise, you'll recorded clip will only be as long as you sell it to be(upto 60 seconds) with a cool down of 10seconds between clips with motion. Also, you can toggle whether you want it to stop recording 2seconds after motion end, or allow it to always record for the triggered clip length. I purchased mine mid- December 2020, and it works amazingly.
Question:	How are these different than my Blink XT2 cameras
Answer:	I just spoke with a Blink representative on the phone, he informed me that if you have a blink account activated before 4/15/20 using the older cameras (i.e. XT2), if you purchase the new cameras, they can be added to your existing system and they will be able to utilize the free cloud storage since the account is grandfathered in. The cloud storage paid plan is only for accounts made after 4/15/20.

Answer:	Two cams included. Set up was pretty easy. The feed will work on your phone 5g data signal but the cams must be set up on your home 2g WiFi signal. I set up on both android and iPhone. The experience is better on an iPhone, imo.

Question:	So does this continuously record or only record motion detection? For instance if someone was to break it would it only record the initial few seconds
Answer:	It can continually record if you purchase the upgraded plan, but for the free one you only get a notification/alert sensing motion and it records the first 6 seconds, and you can then go into the app and see it live and screen shot or record another 6 seconds. Check out the monthly and annually plans if 6 seconds is not enough
Question:	Can you turn off infrared
Answer:	Thanks for your question, the night vision sensor cannot be turned off manually. Our camera is equipped with IR cut filter with auto switch. It is affected by nearby changing lights, so sensitive switching was happened.
Question:	I have downloaded the yl lot and digicam app. which one do i need? i am confused about what apps i need for this device. one made me pay to add a came
Answer:	The app I downloaded is called YI loT type it in just like that in the App Store. It’ll bring up an app that is blue with a white head/guy on it. It doesn’t cost anything to add a camera, view the video, etc. the only thing that costs is to save recordings and such. It’s a monthly fee but I did not subscribe to it.
