Is it a separate battery pack

Answer:

If my memory serves me correctly, the 850 and 1000 is an older model, replaced with the 900 and 1100. You didn’t ask about the 850/900 but thought I would mentions those as well. Honestly, they all are very bright, can’t go wrong with any of these. We looked on the NiteRider website to compare last year when we made our purchase. Answer:	micro 650/850. Normal lumina 1000-1200 are the newest models from Niterider with the new reflector design. micro 750. Normal lumina 900-1100 are the older models from Niterider with the standard clear lens. The newer lens strips the light in a wider pattern then it's focus counterpart, giving a wider spread of light for a more broad flood beam vs a focus spot. So the light on the newer lens will look weaker in a condensed area, But will shine fairly well. Won't be as bright looking as the clearer older models len that will have a spot beam. But that is because of the diffuser lens system. Best bet would be use the handlebars with a flood. and a Spot on your helmet for good combo of view point and spot interest.

Answer:	Quality is decent, the light is pretty bright. it comes with a wire & magnet for the speed measurement for the front wheel. Also a flashing tail light (w/ coin battery) and a remote switch for the handle bar. The light is USB rechargeable and has an indicator of the battery level on top. The tail light is just battery only. I'd say it's a compact light that seems ok.

Answer:	This is the one that I bought (MagicShine MJ-6058 Helmet Mount | Converts bar mounted light in helmet light | Secure mounting design) To make it more secure on the helmet I used two zip ties and it works well for an inexpensive price.

Answer:	The light uses o-ring for mounting. See the arch shaped metal on the bottom of the light, the o-ring grabs the front hook, goes around the handle bar and reach the rear hook. There is no room for turning away from the direction the light is facing.

Answer:	It is a good study bike. This was for my husband and he weighs about 265 and he likes it. He had to get a gel seat for it for comfort though.

Answer:	Both the front and the back have strobe setting options. I leave mine on reg flashlight mode cause the strobe bothers my eyes.

Answer:	Why take it off? You should have a front and rear light on anytime you are riding. The front light might be the only thing on coming traffic sees if there is sunglare. In fact, in my area, you are required to use a front and rear light while riding.

Answer:	The cord is long enough to do a helmet mount. But just barely. I have a CamelBak Lobo backpack that has a top pocket up high. There is just enough chord to mount the light in the middle of the helmet and reach the battery pack placed in the top pocket without any type of snags or noticing that it's even there. If you have a similar setup you'll be fine. Otherwise I would get the extender cord if you want to mount the battery on the frame or if you ride with a hip pack or if you want to keep the battery in your Jersey pocket.

Answer:	I'm sorry it does not have twist shifting. The Pathfinder has the top mounted dial shifters.
Question:	Do you slip into the pads or strap them on? I don't want to take my shoe off on the trail to take the pads on or off
Answer:	It is fairly easy to put together with the hand tools in the box. What is a little more difficult is to adjust the cables for the brakes and the gear shifting. After assembley you could take the bike to a shop for an adjustment, or what a bike shop calls a tuneup.
