    Answer: General Electric Appliances was sold to Haier ( a Chinese company) in June of 2016. Most of the larger appliances bearing the GE name are made in the USA or in Mexico. Hopefully this continues. They probably will never make these filters in the USA so you are stuck with these or an aftermarket brand.
