Question:	Is there a manual or tutorial somewhere on how to use the various clips, mounts? User's manual assumes you know this - I don't
Answer:	Perhaps not exactly what you were asking about but it's important that you buy a memory card which is at least Class 6. It's better to go with a Class 10. This has to do with the speed the memory card can receive and store data. If the card is too slow, the camera wont perform well at all; it will seem like absolute garbage, but with the right memory card it will work just fine.And of course remember to format it in the camera.
Question:	How long is the recording time for this? can it be extended
Answer:	My case has a square frame over lens. Tried one gopro filter that was too big. Unable to remember which one I tried. Haven't been able to try lenses for other gopro models. I also intend to try a gopro case to see if this camera fits as a possible solution. A red filter is very important for underwater shots at any depth.
Question:	I bought a sandisk ultra microsdxc uhs-i and the camera will not read the card. which card do i need to buy so it works
Answer:	Nope. I got mounts and this camera doesn't fit them at all. Maybe bad mounts but mine did NOT fit.

Question:	With the GPS locations, will it attach the gps location information to the pictures saved data
Answer:	I am amazed that someone incorrectly answered "No" to this question!! The correct answer is: Yes, when "Use built-in location data" in "Location data options" in the location data options menu is set to "On", the W300 camera starts receiving signals from positioning satellites and will embed location data in each image's EXIF metadata. This is the main purpose of having a GPS/GLONASS receiver in a camera! But note that the accuracy of the location data will depend on how many satellites the camera is receiving signals from, and if you are in a place that blocks satellite signals, location data will not be recorded. When the camera is receiving signals, an icon appears on the monitor that indicates how many satellites signals are being received from, and thus how accurate the location data will be. For the most accurate location data, you should wait to take a photo until the monitor indicates that signals are being received from three or more satellites, which in my experience takes a couple of seconds after the camera is turned on.
Question:	My nikon w 300 is making a weird noise when i shake it , still makes the noise when i remove the battery ?what should i do
Answer:	This problem seems to keep going on in the Nikon Coolpix cameras. I have had an AW100 that didn't have this problem, then bought an AW 120 and this is when I first heard this noise. Thinking it was something loose inside, I took it back to trade it for another one. After the salesperson and I went through 6 other AW120s, and found that they ALL had the same issue. I took one of the cameras home and contacted Nikon and they said something about this noise in the camera and they were working on fixing this issue. Well, somebody must have dropped the ball because this issue has turned up in the AW130s and now I am reading that this issue is in the NEW W300. Come on Nikon, you have a great camera just figure out this f#$**%g problem and fix it. People who spend 400 bucks on a new camera dont want one that rattles. Fix the dam problem!!!!

Question:	what is the lens (mm) for UV filter
Answer:	I use 40.5mm Hoya filters on my TG-6 and TG-5.
Question:	I bought a fuji xp, highly rated as well, but was disappointed with the overall quality, underwater looked flat. should i expect better from this
Answer:	The Olympus TG-6 will produce very good UW images if used it correctly. Ideally the underwater mode is selected and the correct white balance depth is chosen. UW photography helps tremendously from having clear water and strong frontlit sunlight with no clouds . You also usually need to get pretty close to your subject. Without those you may need strobes or to use a flash. If want to learn more about TG UW photography google "tg-5 backscatter tutorial". In some cases after all that, the images yes will be a bit flat and you will need to do some post-processing. TG-6 images are good quality and tend to respond well to PP, especially if you use a raw file and a raw editor like light room. You can also use a free editor like Gimp...which can easily take care of flat image. Gimp > Color > Brightness-Contrast > Contrast (crank it right and the flatness should magically go away). Gimp can also do a good job with white balance correct (although LR is likely better at both tasks).
Question:	Does this camera come with a lens cover
Answer:	No. In spite of this, I have never smudged the lens. It is recessed enough that even when doing VERY close-up macro shot, the lens stays clean. If you are going to chuck the camera into a (filthy) jacket pocket, then something like the Olympus Lens Barrier LB-T01 would be for you. I have used the Olympus CLA-T01 Conversion Lens Adapter which comes with the traditional clamp-on lens cover. It usually stays in-place. For real dirty and dusty locations, I use a screw-on UV filter to keep the optics from getting scratched by wind-driven grit. I hope this helps.
Question:	What is the difference between the tg5 and the tg6? the specs are virtually identical
Answer:	There are some noteworthy improvements. Chromatic aberration is reduced, the purple orb issue has been reduced, you can now shoot microscope videos and you can use aperture mode with microscope mode. The TG-6 images are also a bit darker and less likely to be over-exposed. I think there is an improvement in image quality. The TG-6 is also a bit more rugged (thicker lcd, better for reduction, etc). The biggest improvement is in the lcd screen.

Question:	What if you can’t turn off disable lock screen? my organization enforces security on the iphone that prevents you from disabling lock? will this work
Answer:	Update on a previous question: in Feb '21, there is an app update coming that will keep the SportDier screen and app open without the screen going to auto-lock!
Question:	Can you use the iPhone flash without causing any bounce back from the case glass element? Any other issues with using the built in flash
Answer:	You cannot use the flash on the iphone while it is in the case. Honestly, that flash would be of no use underwater anyway as it is not very bright. I used an external mounted Sea Life Dragon light that is 1200 lumens and it worked amazingly. If you have a handheld torch, you could use it to light the subject but the mounted light is the easier option.

Answer:	Not directly, but there are handles available that mount both the gopro and the light
Question:	The 32650 cell is 3.7v, but the charger has 3.2v, 4.2v and 4.35v. Are they really compatable
Answer:	Yes. Mine worked fine March 2020 while on a Granada dive trip. I used the light both during daytime and night dives. Hence, had to recharge the battery. The one thing that surprised me was the physical size of the battery - it is larger than I expected when I purchased the light/charger. The red-light and UV-light features were kind of fun during night dives.
