Answer:	Absolutely! This is not a film developer, it is a slide/negative digitizer. Which just means it's a specialized scanner specifically for turning slides & negatives into JPEG graphic files.

Answer:	I believe this product is great, especially for its price point. There are 2 things it's not: 1) A high end professional scanner for Pro photographers. 2) A high volume machine - you have to scan each slide/negative then upload it to your computer, do some editing/clean up. But if you have some highly desirable film you want to upload to fb and don't mind doing some work - this will do the job. Otherwise send you film to a service and let them do it.

Answer:	I looked through the Amazon offerings, but I saw no mention of voltage. I'm guessing that another company does make maybe a bigger fan, and I guess that it could run with 220volts. I guess that one might have to do some searching to find that question's answer, but I'm just happy with the 120 volt fan, and it has worked now for a number of years. Question:	Can a variable speed control be attached instead of a thermostat. What type of electric motor is it? Is it capacitive start
Answer:	I'm not sure of the of the type of motor it is. My motor is still running well, and it runs well with the thermo. I broke the AC to the motor, so that I can shut the fan down for the winter or another type of situation. I would guess that it might be a capacitive start, and over time with a speed control????

Answer:	The black rings are plastic. The fan blades and motor are metal.

Answer:	I hard wired a 14 GA. 3 wire 10'-12' extension cord that I removed the female end from. Works traffic. Shorter the better.

Answer:	No it will not. You need a professional level scanner especially if you want to scan images shot for any business like wedding photos. Hasselblad makes an interesting design, but it❜s pricey and it handles up to 4” - 5” with 135 smallest and 645/120 the sweet spot for resolution, generates around 385MB huge file if you want them that big. Or you can try a top-level flatbed transparency option by Linotype-Hell or a related company.

Answer:	Yes. Their plastic slide holder has slots for the slide and it's cardboard frame. I was able to copy over 100 slides in no time, and loved the quality, especially since the sides were over 50 years old!

Answer:	If the negative was good and in focus, I believe you could make a 8 x 10 in without a problem.I used Photoshop to clean up some minor issues, like dust I failed to get off of the negative. I was very pleased with the old family photo's. This isn't a commercial unit, which might cost $2,500-$4,000.

Question:	I have a two story, 3700 sf home with a solar attic fan. How much of cooling difference will adding the whole house fan make to cooling my house
Answer:	The solar attic fan will probably make the whole house fan work more efficiently as the attic should be cooler. You can definitely benefit from the whole house fan though as it will cool your house and the attic rather than the attic only. I would only add that the 36-inch fan would probably be more adequate for your size house, but that depends also on the footage vs fan allocation. My house is 3400 sq ft and the fan works great for us.
Question:	I live in the North East, how well do the shutters prevent cold air from sinking from the attic into the house during the winter months
Answer:	It is pretty good at stopping the air flow but you will still loose a lot of heat. The metal shutters have no insulation value so you basically have a 3 foot square hole in your ceiling. This hole also lets in a lot of heat in the summer when the fan is not in use. There is a fix for this. There are several videos on You Tube that show you how to construct a cover, inside your attic, out of 2 inch insulating foam. It has doors that will still open and close when the fan is on. I have not built mine yet but plan to as soon as it cools off some.
Question:	How wide are the vent veins that actually move? Will they fit between 24" on center truss giving you 22 1/2" opening
Answer:	The cut out is 26" if i remember.. I tried to install it your method but couldnt and had to use the joint in middle method with extra wood for frame.. This fan has paid for itself already. Works great

Answer:	Approx 800 square foot here... We open the windows and leave the fan on low; it performs admirably. Make sure your attic venting is adequate; that makes the biggest difference.

If one fan can't not effectively take out the hot air on the other end of the house, it's recommended that you install another one. Louvers are not necessary unless you care about the look. Thanks.

Answer:	Normaly these motors have a temp overload built into the windings of the motor. I have not seen one that did not have it.

Answer:	You would half to take apart the electric starter and if its a 12mm hex one way bearing than yes it will but sometimes there different.

Answer:	Is it correctly armed? It may be that the shoes are placed towards the opposite side, check the direction of rotation. If all this is correct, place the hardest springs that come on the set. Or the nut that holds the bell is too tight.

Answer:	Yes it does as both the VX16 and VX18 have the same shaft. I used it on both... However, I personally have not had good luck with the aluminum clutches since the holding springs in them seem to break easily, and that means u will have a run-away situation because the clutch pieces without the spring engage the bell at very low RPM... something to keep in mind.

Answer:	It's designed to run ONLY while the sun is charging it. However, you can buy a 110V hybrid adapter (about $80), which easily connects to the fan. It works at night, as long as the attic is 80 degrees (or more), and runs on your home's electricity. Then, when the sun returns, it automatically converts back to solar power.
