Answer:	The reason you hold a book with 2 hands is because it is heavy, if it is a hardback, or because you need to hold it open to the page if it is a paperback. Since neither of these apply to a kindle there is no reason to use 2 hands. However, no reason not to use both hands when reading if that is your preference.

Answer:	No. But it is possible to bend it completely back so that it folds under the kindle and hold it that way. The cover is so light weight that there is no need for it to be magnetic connected to the back. It does close magnetically.
