Answer:	I have a LIDE210 and Win7 64 bit. The scanner is not detected by Device manager. I cannot find a Win7x64 bit driver on the Canon website. If anyone knows where such a driver is available I would be very interested in knowing.
Question:	How long does it take to scan a photo or series of photos on the flatbed
Answer:	It depends on the resolution of the scan. At highest resolution, full color 600dpi, it can take about 30 seconds, but full color at 300 dpi takes 10 seconds, and much less if you go to black and white text, and around 200 dpi, which is plenty high enough for a page of text, in which case less than 5 seconds. The nice feature about this scanner is that if you place a bunch of pictures on the scanner glass, and leave separation between them, it will recognize they are individual pictures and then trim and present you separate scanned images, as if you had scanned the pictures separately. But it's a bit tricky to be sure they are not close together, because if placed edge to edge, it appears to the scanner they are all part of one big picture.

Answer:	I bought my dad a kodak pulse over eight years ago and it has run with no problems. My kids bought me the pix star frame not quite 4 years ago and it has stopped working. I bought the pix star frame for my kids last year at christmas and it is disappointing to think that their frames could stop working in just 4 years. Of course the warranty is only good for 3 yrs. I am very disappointed. The price of the pix star is double to what I paid for the kodak pulse. Customer service has been very good. They are sending me a new cord to see if that is the problem but they don't think that will fix the problem. They are willing to sell me a new frame. LOL

Answer:	You can manage every aspect of the frame as long as it is joined to wireless. For Larry, there is a setting to auto confirm all incoming pictures that will allow you to just email the pictures to the frame. They will popup on the screen with a couple second timer that the default option is to add to the frame. I thought that I had found a place on the web page to delete the pictures but don't have access to the password for the account right now so can't confirm that or not.

How to Use

1) Connect the cloud photo frame to WIFI. Photo frame: Set the Wifi - Select your network and enter the WiFi password (only 2.4 GHz, no 5 GHz network is supported).

Visit the iTunes App Store or Google Play to download the "OurPhoto" Frame App on the cellphone. Then install the "OurPhoto" photo frame application.

How to Create an Account

Launch the "OurPhoto" photo frame application and select "Register". You will be prompted to enter your "User Name" and "Email Address". You can then log in and provide your frame ID.

(Note: To find the frame ID, click once on the frame touch screen, then click on the "Settings" icon and you will see it in the "Device Information")

Open the "OurPhoto" APP- Device - My device - Name the photo frame (for example: A) - Name the mailbox - Add the photo frame ID (shown in "Device Information" in the digital photo frame) - Accept the request on the photo frame - send the photo from your phone to frame

Friends and Family Shares

Friends and family can send pictures to your frame. Just install the "OurPhoto" application and create their own account and use your Frame ID.

Answer:	No...It is not compatible. Canon never released driver for the scanner after Windows XP. However, several people were able to use the scanner on Windows 7 with some tweaks. Search Google with ""How to install a CanoScan N650U scanner on Vista or Windows 7". It will show you a page that has description on how to use this scanner on Windows 7 using Windows XP based drivers.
Question:	Is it MAC compatible
Answer:	I think it's incompatible with everything by now. It was such a good scanner for me, but I've been unable to use after installing Windows 8. But I can't really say anything about MAC. Sorry.

Answer:	While the scanner worked, I used it for scanning older negatives (as in my in-laws negatives from photos taken in the 60's) as well as mounted slides and it did a decent (albeit slow) job. Since that scanner died, I replaced it with an Epson Perfection 4490 flatbed scanner which does a better job and has continued to perform well for more than six years.

Answer:	I did a search of the Canon site and found this: "Built for film The film guide of the 4200F can take up to four frames of 35mm negatives, or two mounted slide transparencies. It is built into the FAU, which saves the frustration of the guide ever being misplaced. The robust guide design allows easy, uncomplicated and quick insertion and removal of transparencies." Also not sure if updated software for this model is available from Canan: "Compatibility The 4200F is compatible with Windows XP Professional, XP Home Edition, XP Media Center Edition 2004, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Me and Windows 98." Hope this helps and sorry for my first answer because I have never used my 4200F for negatives.

Answer:	The CanoScan D1250U2F scanner I recently got was in factory-new condition and came with all the original accessories, including software on 2 CDs. One CD contains the driver software plus ScanGear Toolbox (scanning utility programs), Canon PhotoRecord (for printing photos), ArcSoft PhotoBase (photo album), and ScanSoft OmniPage Pro (OCR program to convert scanned text into machine-encoded text). The other CD contains Adobe Photoshop Elements (image editing). However, if you get a used scanner, it may come with only one or neither of these CDs; so, you should check with the seller to find out about this. I haven't checked whether the driver for this scanner can still be downloaded from the Canon website or elsewhere, but if it's no longer available for download, then you probably need to be sure you get this scanner with at least the driver CD.

Answer:	Yes and possibly no - an x-ray is simply a negative. Although this scanner scans negatives, and color film, you will want to verify with Canon if you can choose the negative setting for scanning outside of the standard negative/film cartridge the fits in a specific area of the scanner. I no longer have this device as it is not compliant with Windows 7, 64-bit.

Answer:	Maximum supported document size is 8.5 in x 11.7 in. To scan 11" x 17" in one pass, you would need a large format scanner, and I am not aware of a Canon photo scanner in that form factor. However, Epson manufacturers them... in the Expression series (e.g. 10000XL). Hope this helps... :)
Question:	I need the 24 volt AC power cord, which was lost
Answer:	Canon (who I'll probably will boycot 100% from now on) even refuses to tell you the supply connections! From measurements I can tell that it needs 24V on (at least) top left pin and ground on the bottom two. A "standard" supply with +24V on both top pins is verified to work. Why Canon has suddenly decided to REMOVE win 10 driver support is a riddle for me. Perhaps they think the business is "to good" and just want to get rid of some of their steady customers?!? Hopefully Nikon, Sony and Epson will be more sensible... ;-)

Answer:	BEWARE! In order to email a photo to the frame, a person must sign up for a Nixplay account. You don't have to use the app, but you do have to set up a personal Nixplay account to be able to email a photo to the frame. What that means is that my extended family (over 100 people) will all have to become registered users of the Nixplay system in order to send photos to my 100 year old grandmother. I wasn't able to find this out until after I bought one and attempted to set it up. I'm returning it in favor of the Skylight frame, which does allow emails from non-account holders.

Answer:	There is a metal stand in the box that works like an easel. The “rounded” section should be at the top and the very small metal lip at the bottom. The frame will sit nicely and the stand will be all but invisible.
