Question:	Would this be strong enough to hold a 20x30 foam fill-card at various angles without the card twisting out of place
Answer:	No guarantees, but I think that holding a 20 inch by 30 inch foam card would be easy for these clamps. The various angles might be a problem. The clamps rotate forward and backward but have no ability to rotate at 90 degrees to that plane. Also, with the foam cards, these clamps are strong enough to dent the foam depending how strong it is and it would be advisable to put some reinforcement around where the clamps grabbed the foam so this doesn't happen. I use mine to hold up expanding 5X7 backdrops which they do very well.
Question:	Will this fit the amazon basics light stands ? The one with the screw type attachment option on the top. Thanks
Answer:	Yes, It shouldn't be a problem. It will slip over the end and be fastened by the locking screw on the the clamp.

Answer:	Yes. The clip is just held in with a screw and I do recall that there is a hole for an umbrella and can be used to hold a flash with an umbrella.

Answer:	The spigot is attached to the clamp. It is easily removable from the bracket. You could certainly replace that spigot with another one and add a cold shoe. It’s not a bad clamp.

Answer:	You can attach it to a tripod, but you may need an extra adapter to do so. The connectors on the ends of the pivoting clamp are 5/8" sockets. You will need a 5/8" spigot that has threads to attach to your tripod (there's one on Amazon if you search for Caltar Adapter Spigot). You screw the spigot onto your tripod's threads and then clamp this piece into the bottom of the clamp. This clamp may have come with a spigot like this, but I don't remember.For positioning a reflector, using a tripod is best - most light stands are heavy enough to hold a reflector at an angle. The clamp is great - very strong.

Answer:	I guess it would depend on the stand. I use it on an old tripod to hold reflectors.

Answer:	The fitting is 5/8" - approx 16mm - and it fits onto a post of that size. There is also a smaller (oval) 12x8mm (approx) secondary attachment which can be used for "lighting flags", etc. As you can see in the picture there is a centre adjustment screw. It allows the unit to be angled down to 90° in both directions. This is useful when you need the reflector to be catching just the right light to bounce on to the subject. I have also found it helpful to have a "Quick-Grip" type of clamp (2ft/30cm shaft) as I can attached this into the 5/8" socket on one end and then use the Grip to hold onto, for instance, a partition wall or furniture.

This clamp has two threaded holes per its description, While the jaws of this clamp hold very tightly, I would think it would be difficult to attach an umbrella such that it wouldn't pivot about the attachment bolt if subjected to a load. Perhaps two of these clamps attached to the umbrella would work in tandem to do the job.
