A WiFi range extender does NOT CHANGE YOUR MAIN ROUTER'S "BANDWIDTH". It only amplifies the signal to increase the range... kind of like how a hearing aid works. So, in summary, if you have an issue with WEAK WiFi, a range extender will help. Otherwise the product is worthless
