Question:	Will the lens hood cause a vignette
Answer:	Not if it is mounted correctly. I use this lens with an APS-C sized camera (Canon 80D), that only uses the middle of the lens anyway so vignetting is generally not a problem. Even so, this lens is profiled in Lightroom so any vignette, chromatic aberration, and barrel / pincushion distortions are corrected with a couple of clicks of the mouse. Unless you're shooting with a 6D, 5D, or 1D, you shouldn't have too much problem with vignette either. In any case, benefits of a hood far outweigh any drawbacks.

Answer:	I bought a Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 a couple years ago and use it on my 70D. A couple months ago I rented this Canon 24-70. I did some testing with both, shooting the same things in various lighting conditions. I loved the Canon. It's bigger and heavier which you definitely feel if you are carrying the camera around all day. The focus is super quiet and unbelievably fast. And the images are great. But I didn't think they were very much better than what I get out of Tamron. If you are on a budget you won't go wrong with Tamron. If you have to have the best go with the Canon.

Answer:	This is one of my favorite primes that I own. It not only has a really nice bokeh, and great contrast and color rendering. But it also has a very flattering perspective. It also makes most peoples faces look a bit better. Something about 85mm makes the face a little skinnier, while also compressing the area that is in focus a bit. It's heavier than most other 'Ultrasonic' EF primes. But this just makes it balance well on a 5D, 6D or 7D. Until you step up to L series you will have to deal with a bit of chromatic aberation and vignetting. Though that is a simple task if shooting raw. The 50mm is a bit more natural perspective compared to 85. But you also have to get right up on a subject with it. The 85 lets you get a similar shot from a few more feet away, which makes the subject more comfortable.

Answer:	I bought the same fan in July of 2018, and have used it sporadically. Yesterday, I had it on for 30min and then all of a sudden it stopped working. No noise, no warning signs. Kaput. It says the warranty is over, and I'd be happy to buy a fuse if it needs replacing, but I am surprised at how little this lasted!

Question:	Does it auto-focus with the Canon TC x2.0? And for the TC x1.4, does it only work with center focus
Answer:	No, you will need to manually focus with the 2x TC since you will be at f/11 with this lens/TC combination.The new 100-400mm II handles the 1.4x TC nicely with my 7D mkII and 5D mkIII, but since you are at ~f/8 you can only use the center focus point.
Question:	I have a 70-200 2.8 and am thinking about this one for high school baseball , football and soccer to get more close ups. Anyone use this for sports
Answer:	100-400 is too slow for indoor shots. Recently, I shot photos at my kid's soccer game. Even using a 70-200 2.8 I had to increase the ISO to 6400 to have fast-enough shutter speeds to capture the movements. I got many good but very grainy images. For actions, 2.8 is the only way to go.
Question:	I like shooting action and I have a 70-200. Will buying this 100-400 be legitimate
Answer:	That depends on the sport, your distance from the action and aperture you want. I shoot a lot of action too, softball, baseball, gymnastics, rowing, etc. for me, my 70-200 lives on my camera. However; if I want different perspectives, like a picture from center field to the batter - I will switch over to the 100-400. I also need it for the reach at most rowing events. That said, I still prefer the 70-200 for the speed and sharpness. Perhaps I’m just more comfortable with that lens.

Answer:	It’s an APS-C lense, not full frame. However, I use it on my A7ii and a7Riii in crop mode. Works great, providing the same 24mm equivalent 36mm fov. It is a quality lense.

Answer:	Some of the answers are ill-informed as I would assume the OP is referring to Sony's APS-C DSLR A-mount Cameras such as the a68 or a77ii. An A-Mount version of this lens has not been released.

Answer:	the coolpix b500 has a lens that can't be detached. If you have some kind of science project in mind go ahead. but you'd have to destroy the camera, and the lens is no good. It shoots fuzzy pictures. So I guess I don't understand the question. The lens is a waste of time and money.

Answer:	The 22mm lens is amazing! It feels and has better build quality than the plastic primes of Canon's. Image quality is just too good. 1. Its a prime lens 2. Its F2.0 hence way better than the kit lens.
Question:	Which one is better the Canon EF-M 22mm or the Canon EF 40mm f/2.8? I am on a budget and I want to make sure I invest wisely
Answer:	You'll need the ~$150 EOS-M mount adapter to use the EF 40mm on the EOS-M. Personally, I haven't found the 40mm f/2.8 to be anywhere near as satisfying as using the native-mount 22mm f/2. The 22mm is excellent as a general purpose lens (it achieves a moderately wide view good for museums, landscapes, people, etc.) and performs better in low-light than the 40mm.
Question:	Where does this lens "peak" for sharpness and contrast? ie, what is the optimal aperture to stop down to? f/2.8, f/4, f
Answer:	I've shot with this lens at f/8 several times with amazing sharpness and contrast. Although I should confess that 95% of the time I'm shooting with this lens at around f/2 - f/2.8 as I usually use it to shoot at parties/events at night with my M3 (I don't take my DSLR) and I get some pretty amazing results with it.
Question:	Does the lack of image stabilization impact use in any way
Answer:	FYI - When shooting with lenses that lack IS the rule of thumb is to set the shutter speed at or above the focal length. Since the effective focal length is 35mm on a crop sensor you would set the Tv at 1/35 seconds or faster.
