Question:	I cannot see thru the telescope even after taking all caps off it is stil blank image
Answer:	We are having the same issue. It’s been properly set up but even after allowing it to come to temperatures outside, there is nothing we’re seeing. We’ve adjusted magnification, tried different lens, still blank. And yes, all the caps are off too. I have a curious, yet disappointment kiddo on my hands. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer:	You have to use the little knob that looks like a T and also the long handle bar (you turn the handle bar right to tighten and left to loosen. They are both apart of the stand.

Answer:	I set it up in 5 minutes. I observed the Moon, Venus and Cassini twin stars (actually quad) with in 30 minutes on 25 mm. I have never owned a telescope in my life. The instructions are pictures describing what part goes where under them. How to set up your phone is a bit of a mess but I understood and decided to address that later. I was too excited to see Venus, and then sad when it looked like a big star, lol. There is another way to set it up to see even closer images, so I’ll be experimenting. I want a bigger one now... lol 😂. I’m managing my expectations on the 3X with 10mm parts. I just want to see it all!
Question:	Is this good for photographing an eagle 100 yards away
Answer:	As long as the Eagle is stationary, yes. This comes with a 10mm and 25mm eyepiece. I think the 10mm would work.

Question:	can this scope be used as a spotting scope for bird watching
Answer:	Excellent for bird-watching. At 20x, it's fine. At 40x (long distance) you may want a strudier tripod, and because it's daylight, you can look through the smaller 42mm hole (take off the little cap) in the dust cap and that will improve the sharpness at high power. If you want a better spotting scope, simply buy a fancy wide-angle/high-performance 1.25 eyepiece (super-plossl, etc), around 15 mm focal length.
Question:	You say that any tripod that I use for photography should work. Does that mean that I can screw my tripod head into the telescope
Answer:	Yes. As others have said, the tripod that comes with the telescope is reallllly flimsy. There are a couple of screw holes on the bottom of the telescope. I was able to attache the telescope to my other tripod using the detachable head on the tripod.
Question:	I'm a real beginner/plan to purchase this for my son so we can both explore the night sky, etc. Is it really easy to setup?/How long will it take
Answer:	The scope is really good for beginners and it is easy to set up. As others have said the the included tripod is small for portability and not very stable. If used fully "retracted" on the hood of a car for example, it's OK. I've used it with a Celestron 7.5MM eyepiece and a 2x barlow lens and it can still resolve the rings of Saturn on a clear night. It's not designed for that kind of magnification but for an inexpensive scope with simple lenses I was impressed. I wouldn't recommend trying that though until you have some practice on focus, finding objects in the sky, and purchasing a heavy duty camera tripod. You must remember even with the highest power eyepieces, which you only want to consider using for viewing planets, objects are really small which is due to it's 400mm focal length. Overall it's WAY better than spending 40-50 dollars on a cheap toy at the local discount store. Another good option comparable to this is the Orion 76mm Fun Scope. It's really only for table top use but it's easy to swivel up/down left/right. It is a reflector though and images don't appear as crisp in my opinion. You'll find out that half the quality of a telescope is how good the tripod or mounting set up is. For the price you can't go wrong with this scope. I own several telescopes from computer driven to large reflectors and still grab this for quick views of Orions belt, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, and star clusters like the double cluster and the Pleiades. Just to add to an already long answer, I added an inexpensive laser object finder (similar to the Celestron Star Finder) instead of the mostly useless viewfinder. It makes it ten times easier to point the scope at objects you're trying to look at and it doesn't take much modifications to get it screwed to the scope tube or stuck on with foam tape. Your son will thank you!

Question:	Can I use another tripod I have a bigger sturdier and has wheels
Answer:	Yes and you should! The tripod is the weakest link on this product. This isn't a mark against the company, as the tripod is often the weakest link in any optics set up. I am not sure why your tripod has wheels or how that would benefit, since orienting objects are easier to do using a stable base and the spotting scope attachment along an axis, but hey, follow your heart!
Question:	How do you attach the cell phone holder? It is not even mentioned in the instructions
Answer:	There is a part of the cell phone holder that twists. As you twist clockwise or counter clockwise the opening widens I order for the eyepiece to fit in it. Once you are able to fit the cellphone holder on the eye piece you tighten the twisting part to fasten the cellphone holder in place. I hope that helps.

Answer:	Hello! I'm an esthetician. Please don't put Elmer's glue on your face. Even though it is technically "non-toxic" it can damage your skin and actually plug up your pores. You shouldn't often use "pore strips" or DIY equivalents such as glue + charcoal because overuse will actually cause your pores to enlarge. Answer:	We have enjoyed using this. It is very simple and a good value. The image on the screen is clear. Not sure if it will work for something as small as a bird but it was good for a sailboat 100 yards away. Hope that helps?

Answer:	There was no tripod neither in advertisement, nor in package of my order. BTW, monocular itself is an almost perfect device. Best of 7 different models purchased during last four years.
Question:	can you take a picture with your iPhone
Answer:	Yes, you can with the attachment they include. It is a little clumsy to do so, and the picture will be round (due to the round lens of the monocular). It will also be grainy, depending on how far your subject is/how much magnification.

Answer:	You can't use this to take long astronomic exposures because the planet or nebula (or whatever) will move during the exposure. To take long exposures, you need two things: an equatorial mount and a clock drive. However, you can take great shots of the moon or other really bright object. The moon is so bright, a fast shutter speed works fine.

Answer:	Not really. It needs a good size case for it. Plus I would not trust airport to cate for it. If in your car or RV it would fair much better.

Answer:	I would say as long as it's nothing that's highly pigmented. That way it won't stain as much or the stain will come off easier

Answer:	I'm not very sure... I would assume you just use as is and when you are ready to clean it off some sort of oil based something you rub ON TOP the makeup before washing with soap and water would work. I used Vaseline and it came completely off no faded marks! Then again, I had just put the makeup on before trying to clean it so I don't know how to clean after its been sitting for a whole day or more

BUT turns out, rubbing a little Vaseline before washing with dawn dish detergent and water actually REALLY HELPED the pink lipstick stain come off! I had almost immediately put it on before trying to clean it though, so I'm not sure if it'll work with makeup that's been sitting for a whole day or more

Amazon.com Review Celestron's Nexstar 8 SE telescope combines excellent optics and computerized "GoTo" tracking in a package that's light, portable and affordable. The legendary performance of Celestron's orange tube C8 telescope has been updated with high performance Starbright XLT coatings, and the single arm Nexstar mount now includes Celestron's easy to use "SkyAlign" technology.

The Nexstar 8 SE upholds Celestron's reputation for quality optics. When I use an 11mm Plossl eyepiece (almost 200x magnification) for example, I can easily see the Cassini Division in Saturn's rings. When I look at Jupiter, the pale orange color of Jupiter's famous Great Red Spot is visible, and I've even been able to identify the polar caps and spot dust storms on the planet Mars. A 20mm Plossl eyepiece (about 100x magnification) is a good choice for viewing galaxies and star clusters. When I look at globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules the high contrast XLT optics show me a glowing snowflake made of hundreds of tiny pin-point stars! And a low power 32mm Plossl eyepiece is a good choice for views of larger deep space highlights like the Andromeda Galaxy and the Orion Nebula.

Celestron's patented "SkyAlign" system makes the Nexstar 8 SE very easy to use. I just pick the nearest town from the built-in list, enter the date and time, and point the telescope at three bright stars. I don't need a star chart because "SkyAlign" identifies the stars for me. When I just want a quick look at the moon or a planet, I like to use the "Solar System Align" option. After entering the date and time, I just point the telescope at the moon and press the "Align" key. That's all it takes, the computer takes over and the telescope begins tracking quietly and accurately. At star parties I often have my Nexstar up and running while older computerized telescopes are still waiting for their alignment stars to appear in the twilight.

The Nexstar 8 SE comes with a simple red-dot finder scope and a basic 25mm eyepiece. You'll want to add a few good eyepieces to take full advantage of the Nexstar 8 SE's excellent optics. Question:	Dear, if I install a reflex camera for astrophotography, how many seconds or minutes allows me to keep the item without diverting
Answer:	No offense, but if you are asking this question seriously, you should not be attempting to add your camera. Astrophotography is not a simple “set it for xxx time.” Magnification, brightness of the object, color, etc. all weigh in for image control. It’s not uncommon to see 60-120 minute long exposures. But if you are asking this seriously, then you would need a course in photography to accomplish decent astrophotographs. It’s not just aperture, shutter speed and ISO when it comes to astrophotography.
Question:	What are the accessories that are helpful? sorry if this question has been asked before. thanks in advance. i am a beginner to astronomy
Answer:	For this telescope, you could get some extra eyepieces - celestron makes good ones, as well as a filter set to help you see galaxies and nebulae. Also, get yourself a red head lamp, so you can read your star maps without destroying your night vision. Of course, you'll want some good sky maps as well - Sky Atlas 2000 is very detailed but there may be others. This telescope comes with a telrad view finder, which is a red lighted finder mounted to the scope with a much wider field of view that makes star finding a bit easier. The newer Star Atlas maps have a telestar overview, same pattern as the lighted finder to help guide you around. My first advice would be to just lay out under the stars without a telescope and memorize the patterns in your sky. Then get yourself a Peterson Field Guide or something to help you figure out what you're seeing. Good Luck!

If asking about astrophotography, this telescope is capable after several optional accessories are put to use. Think camera adapter, equatorial wedge, much more sturdy mounting instead of the tripod mount provided, and a LOT of patience. This all assumes the camera is sensitive enough for astronomical objects.

Answer:	Hi Steven, I don't own that telescope anymore. I am now using Nexstar 5SE. However what I have discovered is if your camera is decently heavy then your telescope will start tilting down. To stabilize it I had to use additional weights. I have never tried mounting a camera on Astromaster.

Answer:	Yes, you can with the attachment they include. It is a little clumsy to do so, and the picture will be round (due to the round lens of the monocular). Answer:	The monocular itself is wonderful. It's simple to use and has great magnification. The brace that holds the phone is not great. Since the lenses on the iPhone are not centered, it makes it difficult to manipulate everything. I have an iPhone X, so I don't know about the multiple optic ports.
Question:	Will this work if the phone is in a case
Answer:	There is nothing electronic about this monocular. The adapter is a phone holder.
Question:	This has 12x magnification power. If my smartphone camera has 8x zoom power, does it mean I will get 96 x zoom power (96 = 12 x
Answer:	The farthest star we can see with our naked eye is V762 Cas in Cassiopeia at 16,308 light-years away. Its brightness is magnitude 5.8 or just above the 6th magnitude limit. Thus the monocular can see slightly farther than that.
Question:	Does it work with iPhone 7plus
Answer:	Really, it's neither...probably about 8X. That works pretty well with this unit because 10X and above is very difficult to hold still by hand. A tripod could work with this unit but use your phone/camera timer. The magnification is NOT adjustable...there is no 'zoom' feature.
