Answer:	No, it probably maxes out between 50 and 200X magnification. At 1000X magnification, you would need to immerse the light path in oil to prevent refraction of light causing blurring of the image. You would also be able to see bacterial cells at that magnification, and none of the review images come remotely close to displaying that level of magnifying power.

If you were using this in a classroom setting, it would be nice to be able to send this over to a larger screen, but for everyday use, the built in screen is nice.

Answer:	I don’t believe it’s possible to get 1000x. I’ve used true compound microscopes. I have not managed to see things at the cellular level with this thing. I think it might get up to a moderate magnification and then count 2x digital zoom. I mean, you could put this on a tv screen so of course it might magnify 1000x in that sense, but you can’t get the sharp focus of a real microscope or see things not visible with a good hand lens.

Answer:	MANUFACTURER RESPONSE: No OTG cable is necessary for the Nexus 5x. This is only needed for Micro USB devices. Question:	I want to see trichomes turn from clear to amber and be able to take still pictures of it happening , could this product help do that
Answer:	That's probably on the edge of what this thing can do. I used it to enlarge parts of insects, which it did very well, especially when I projected it onto my Smartboard. However, you are talking about something an order of magnitude smaller than that. Likely you could see it, but it would not some close to filling the screen.
Question:	Is this good for looking at teh cannabis trichomes
Answer:	You must mean THE trichomes As the amount of trichomes covering your plant increases, you should take a closer look at them, maintaining a light touch to avoid crushing the resin glands. Your best bet is to purchase an inexpensive 25x microscope and most (Use search for this .. pocket microscopes) pocket microscopes have a small light to help you get an illuminated peek at your trichome development. So, when you cut small buds from your plant to test them, you want to concentrate on the stalked glandular trichomes. The coloration of the gland heads can vary with different strains and maturity, but most start with clear or slightly amber heads that gradually become cloudy or opaque when THC levels have peaked and are beginning to degrade. Regardless of the initial color of the trichomes, with careful observation you should be able to see a change in coloration as maturity levels off. Some cultivators wait for about half of the trichomes to go opaque before harvesting to ensure maximum THC levels in the finished product. However, you will also want to try samples at various stages to see what is best for you. While you may be increasing the total THC level in the cannabis by allowing half of the glands to go opaque, there will also be a larger percentage of CBN, which is why some people choose to harvest earlier while most of the trichomes are still clear.So the short answer to your question is?? Question:	Is the 250x magnification fully optical magnification? Or is that digital? If so, what is the optical magnification range, without digital mag
Answer:	It's all digital and it depends on your monitor size. To determine the magnification, take a photo of the base board while push the microscope down against it. Measure the distance between 2 grid lines on the screen. The ratio between that measurement (on the screen) and distance between 2 grid lines on the base board is the magnification. To get the best magnification out of it, set the Digital Viewer resolution to 1600 X 1200 and then read the photo from file folder after the photo is taken and measure the distance between 2 lines. I get 60X magnification on my 23" monitor. If you have 100" monitor, you may get 250X magnification.

Answer:	Go to phone settings, open wi fi, Make sure phone has wifi, it should connect to your phones hot spot. Let me back up a bit. You need to scan the diagram in the directions to your mobile phone,then open the app on phone,turn on the digital scope,go to wifi in settings on phone open wifi it should connect to device as HW viewing. At this point it should give you 3 options, A ?, or a micro scope ,or a file icon. Choose the scope, hold on button of scope for a few seconds and you will see a couple of blue leds at the non working end of scopeyou should be able to go from there. I had a miserable time figuring it out. I hope I gave enough info to at least get you there. Must scan first. hope this helps.

Question:	works with small insects
Answer:	The field on this microscope in bottom lit. So you can see anything that the light can shine through. It will also illuminate small insects, their wings, legs etc. Quite alot of the body of the insects are translucent, so you can see inside the bodies etc. I have also looked at blood samples (my own) and it shows the blood cells, and white cells and other scary little critters swimming around in there. I had a microsocpe i gave to my grandaughter that also had a light that shinned from above. This would be nice to have on this one, but does not. with a top light you could look at objects that the light will not shine through. I especially like the camera/computer hookup. I hook it to a 32 inch tv and it gives a great picture of the object and you can take moving videos of little critters, like in pond water, or even small blood samples. the camera and software came with the scope i bought. this scope has four lenses. i use the lowest and next highest the most. that is the .4 and the 10 (which are then magnified by the optical by which ever lens you put in. this scope came with two options. The third lens is a 40, i have a little trouble focusing with this one, you have to get really close to the object, so make sure you use a cover on the slide over the object so you don't get stuff on the lens. And the fourth lens is oil emersion, a small bottle of oil comes with the scope. I think if i where doing it again i would try to find one that is both bottom and top lit. Not sure how that effects the price. Over all very happy with the quality of the scope, I would give it a 9.5 on a scale of 10. Have fun.

Answer:	No, you cannot use this microscope to view gemstones, or any solid object (at least not in a way that will be useful). There are two main types of microscope - compound, and stereo. A compound microscope, like the AmScope B120C-E1, is designed to look at translucent samples - drops of pond water, thin slices of tissue, and so on. Light is shined up through the sample and into the eyepiece, allowing you to see the cells/organisms in the sample. Thankfully some software I had installed already acknowledged the microscope through the USB port. It has no technical detail. Spend the extra bucks and buy something decent. I am looking at a new one already because this thing does not take clean crisp pics. Very distorted and the adjustable lighting is a joke!

Step1： Insert the metal bracket into the rack

• For Windows system

1. Download the ”Smart Camera” app from link: www.inskam.com/download/camera.zip;
2. Connect the microscope to your computer;
3. Plug the USB cable to USB 2.0 interface of computer, choose the “PC Camera ”mode;
4. Click on the “Smart Camera” App, select the “USB CAMERA”, then you can use it.

Step 2 ：Fix the metal bracket and metal base with screws

• For MAC system

1. Turn on the microscope and connect it to MAC terminal through the USB cable;
2. Open the “Photo Booth” software in the Apple App;
3. Plug the USB cable to USB 2.0 interface of computer, choose the “PC Camera ”mode.
4. Click on the Photo Booth App and select the “USB CAMERA”, then you can use it.

When fixing the metal bracket to the metal base with screws, please choose the threaded end of the metal bracket
