For Best Results:

1. Place the base of the microscope flush against a flat viewing surface
2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)
4. Once you have a clear view of your subject, increase the magnification to your desired level (you may need to slightly adjust the focus again slightly)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	Much less than a millimeter. This is a high power objective for a microscope. In order for you to see anything it has to be extremely close to the slide holding the sample. It also requires the use of immersion oil connecting the objective to the sample slide. Without the oil, you can not see anything through the eyepieces of the microscope because of light defraction. Answer:	NA stands for numerical aperture . In very basic terms NA describes how much light the objective can collect and how well it can resolve small details. Lager NA is better, but the quality of the optical components is very import too. So just looking for the highest NA won't give you the crispest images, just like looking for the highest megapixel camera won't give you the best picture quality. Bottom line 0.25 for a 10x is pretty standard for entry level objectives.

Answer:	Purchased May 2017: I made the mistake of assuming this had a camera with USB computer because of the product description. In my opinion it is very misleading. You're only getting a microscope, 1 extra eye piece, and an AC adapter. No other cables or slides included.
