For Best Results:

1. Place the base of the microscope flush against a flat viewing surface
2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)
4. Once you have a clear view of your subject, increase the magnification to your desired level (you may need to slightly adjust the focus again slightly)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Question:	Can this be mounted on a tripod
Answer:	I believe the 8x26 mm ones come with a case, but it is so large and bulky that when traveling (which is the only time we use them instead of 8x42's) we store them in a soft cloth bag with a drawstring, to save space and make them more accessible. We leave the neck strap in attached to the binoculars and allow it to dangle out of the mouth of the small storage bag.
Question:	Works with htc desire
Answer:	I did not have good luck with my Carson RD 8X42 binoculars. My first pair arrived exhibiting a cloudy or milky film in the bottom of the view. This did not cover the entire view but maybe the bottom 10% or so. I ordered a second pair, same thing. I sent back a pair to Carson which also did not improve the image. I tried to engage them with a conversation - was I using the binoculars correctly, to no avail. I don't know the answer to your question, but I'd stay away from Carson.
Question:	Works with an iphone 7 plus
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. The RDs have two loops on either side for a neck strap or harness. These are closed loops, so unless you use something that will attach to the belt loop and then the binoculars, it won't attach directly.
Question:	why will it not work with my rifle scope
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. It depends how much ambient lighting there is. In general, a larger objective lens diameter will gather more light, and while a compact pair of binoculars is more portable and convenient, a pair with a larger objective lens (like an 8x42mm) will be better to use in the dark. Usually, concerts tend to have a fair amount of artificial light though, so this may not be an issue.

Answer:	It would work, but not very well. Most likely you would have to press the bottom of the X-Scope right down onto the slide itself, and that could damage the slide. Also it would not "see" the entirety of the slide, just a portion at a time.

Question:	Is it waterproof
Answer:	I highly doubt it. It is a VERY cheaply-made device. It does not work. It is also VERY small, the lens is plastic and blurry. When I turned my light on, I was unable to turn it off. It eventually used up the battery and burned out. Useless item. I wasted my money on it. Bought my 5 year old a GOOD hand held magnifying glass for $2 at the Dollar Store, a year later he's still getting good use out of it. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Question:	Can small hand held items be viewed without distortion or does it require material to be on a flat surface like the MM
Answer:	This is only 20 power so it works fine hand held. As with anything like this, the more power, the less depth of field. At 20 power it's easy to hold things still enough to look at.

Question:	is there an off-on switch for the LED light, or do you have to push and hold to keep it lit
Answer:	If you just press and release the button for the light it should stay on. That is the on/off switch.
Question:	If the image is reversed, how can this be useful for coin examination
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. Microscopes are good for determining authenticity, looking for small scratches, pockets of certain metals, and other defects and irregularities that are not visible to the naked eye. For simply reading the text on smaller coins, we would recommend a standing loupe like those in our LumiLoupe series or our new VersaLoupe magnifiers.
Question:	How does the mm-450 optics quality compare to the carson mm-200 micromax, e.g. aberration and distortion
Answer:	While the MM-450 does have a lower magnification than the MM-200, it has an aspheric lens system, giving it a sharp, clear and distortion-free image.
Question:	How does this compare to the mm300? plain simple english please, i am not a scientist. i am using to inspect knife edges. thank you
Answer:	I have Purchased 3 Carson microscopes 20-40x - light button must be held down to turn on - purchased for my grandson 40-60x - light has on off switch 60-120x - light has on off switch first I purchase the 60-120x to exam varroa mites in my bee hives. The magnification is so strong on 60x, the mites filled the viewer Both smaller units work great for looking a mites. 60-120x seems to work great to see scratches in the metal blade of a knife

Question:	Do I need a computer or does it work alone. Can I put images on iPad
Answer:	No computer needed. This only works alone there is no way to store images or hook it up to the computer.
Question:	Can I use it for histology slides
Answer:	Yes, this product would be able to clearly represent histology slides. At the same time it will be a bit harder to use than a fixed microscope, One made for or around the concept of such scientific practices.
Question:	will this work good with plant trichomes? for example the cannabis plant
Answer:	Good question, i use it for the same reason. As for its function its a really small scope, so steady hands and good eyes(and patients) are required. It takes a little time to focus it but it does allow you to see when your trichs are ready. For the price its worth it but if you can afford a bigger better quality one i would go with that. The built in light works well though. The over all size of is a little bigger than a large thumb (if that helps at all).
Question:	I'm afraid mine isn't working at all. I can see the white circle but I can't see it magnify anything at all. Is mine broken or am I missing something
Answer:	It's probably working fine but you have to realize two things, it's designed for close work so if you have it too far away from whatever you're trying to view you're going to get the out of focus white circle. The second is if you have it close to or on top of whatever you were trying to look at you need to focus with the ring on the bottom. I thought mine was broken for a while until I figured out how to get it to focus. Finally you can also shift the focus when adjusting the magnification ring on top. If you change the magnification you will also need to refocus. Hope this helps
