Answer:	Most 10x42 binoculars have a field of view of about 300 feet at 1000 yards. This means you just need to be over half a mile from the field and you will be able to see everything unfolding on the field, and it will appear much closer than if you looked at it from a 1000 yards with your naked eye.

Quick Start with 3 steps

1. Hold the binoculars with both hands and looking at a distant object.

Carefully and slowly move the binocular tubes downward or upward Until left and right fields are correctly aligned.

You'll See them are forming an oval circle in your sight.

2. It's now focused on your left eye and you will have to close your right eye. Look at an object through the left eyepiece with your left eye.

Rotate focusing ring until your left eye sees a sharp image of it.

3. It's now close to your left eye. Looking through the right eye and right eyepiece of the binoculars, adjust the diopter to focus the image of the object.

Rotate the diopter to get the final image.

Answer:	My 3 year old son pulled the eye pieces off which allowed the small lenses to be removed. The lenses are obviously a choking hazard so I exchanged them assuming it was a bad pair. The second pair they sent me came apart within the first hour also. I would not buy these if there is a chance your child may put small objects in their mouth.

Answer:	I think it will fit a 5 year old, but I wouldn't buy it again. It's magnification is barely noticeable, and the string that goes around the neck is a thin nylon cord, capable of cutting into skin if pulled on very hard, or getting a rope burn. I'd keep looking.

Answer:	Yes,I use it to identify waterfowl at a local pond during migration. It’s very helpful but has some limitations. Be aware that the field of view is pretty narrow compared to some other birding binoculars. But the trade off is a crisp, close up of the subject.So, it can be a bit frustrating when the bird is in motion and you want to follow it. Even with that, I would buy them again!

Answer:	Yes, but you would have to travel on a spacecraft about 650 million miles closer to Saturn. Or use 50X telescope from Earth.
Question:	What is there close focusing distance
Answer:	I'm looking at the box (I just got it for fathers day today). It has "Tripod adaptable for a stable viewing platform by using the optional tripod adapter". You have to buy that separately. The directions even show how to do it. Amazon has the adapter shown (Nikon Adapter 7650). It's kind of spendy, but from what i've read, it's just a standard 1/4"-20 mount- just about any of those will work. not sure where some of the other answers are getting their info.
Question:	What does fog proof mean
Answer:	According to the specs, it's 3.05 or 3.06 pounds. Assume it's 3, since .05 or .06 pounds is about an ounce.
Question:	Are these fog/waterproof
Answer:	The first number is the power of the lens, that is how much it will magnify the image. The second number represents the diameter of the lens in mm. They work together to calculate a number called the "exit pupil" or "exit ratio". Take the lens size and divide it by the power to get this number. The higher the number, the brighter the image. For example, 10x50 will give an exit ratio of 5.0, 8x42 would be 5.25, 10x42 would be 4.2. In my opinion, the exit ratio is more important than the power. My favorite binoculars are 8x50 (6.25) but I also just bought 10x50 as a gift who is delighted with that configuration. Stay away from high-power binoculars. They, for me, are too hard to keep steady due to the high magnification.I hope this helps.-Norm
