The Celestron Binocular Viewer is well-made, with a rubberized coating to make it easy to grip, even with gloves on. The 22mm BaK-4 fully multi-coated prisms provide increased light transmission with no vignetting or light cut-off. Each eyepiece holder can be individually focused, and diopter adjustment readings are well marked. The 1.25” insert barrel is threaded for filters, allowing you to use one filter instead of threading them on each individual eyepiece.



The Celestron Binocular Viewer weighs about 18 oz and uses approximately 3.5" of back focus. This is sufficient for most catadioptric telescopes (Schmidt-Cassegrain, Maksutov-Cassegrain, etc.) as well as a good number of refractor-style telescopes. Newtonians and some spotting scopes have the least amount of back focus. Using a binoviewer on these designs may result in the inability to focus to infinity. Remember, binocular viewers require the use of two matched 1.25” eyepieces, which are sold separately.

Question:	what lens cover do u guys got? i received with only eye lens cover. no object lense cover
Answer:	It's a SOFT case and doesn't appear to have any heavy padding inside, although the lining is a spongy material. I wouldn't call it 'shockproof'. It depends on from how high a distance it is dropped or how hard it is bumped. For normal use, it's okay. I wouldn't put any high-end equipment in something like this. Works for me though.

Answer:	The internal dimensions: 42mm case is 16.1x12.2x5.5 cm(6.34x4.80x2.16 inch), 50mm case is 19.0x14.0x6.1 cm(7.48x5.51x2.40 inch), Manual measurement may lead to some errors, hope helps.

Answer:	The tripod I used is a tripod used in photography. All i did is i bought a tripod whose height (camera mount) is next to my eye level without center column used. so with center column the mount can be extended further. Question:	Do these work well with glasses
Answer:	Not very well, which may be the only real objection to them. The eye relief (the important consideration if you wear glasses) is only 12mm (stated on Orion's website). If you wear glasses while using binoculars, you should get a pair with 18-22mm eye relief. So you would want to pass over the Scenix.

Answer:	According to Orion's website, the binoculars say "Multi-Coated". If they were FMC they would say so because that would be an additional selling point.

Answer:	It depends .. if you have a steady hand you may not need tripod. Plus it also depends if you are look 90 degree up facing up in the sky your hand will shake more compare to watching with bino at line of sight or 45 degree.. i have a tripod with tripod adapter so it eases my viewing experience..

Answer:	Last segment doesn't fold up, but tonneau is easily removed with just two twist type latches on last segment. There may be a Youtube video showing installation, folding and removal.
