Answer:	Lets shine some light on this weight rating. If you read the reviews, you can see multiple people well below 300 lbs have broke this product. Most American companies require a product to have a weight rating half of the "failure rate". Clearly that is not the case with this step stool. I would bet they GENTLY, and slowly placed 300 lbs on it, dispersed over the whole top area probably using a board and it held it, even if for a few seconds. So, take a 130 lb female and have her sit down on it with a little downward momentum, especially not displaced evenly over the whole top, and I can see how it breaks. The child that broke one who is 45 lbs sounds crazy, until you start imaging maybe a child skipped a step coming out the camper and "jumped" down on to the stool, possibly landing one foot first, and now you have a excessive amount of force over a small foot area. So to everyone wondering about the weight limit, keep in mind that the 300 lbs is not "usable". This is clearly rated at its breaking point under optimal conditions. This stool should probably be limited to children and only for them stepping up onto, not using it as a final step with someone climbing down off of something higher. Also placing a thin piece of ply wood over the top would likely more evenly distribute the load and be less prone to breaking. Hope this helps people with realistic expectations of this stool.

Answer:	No, and additionally, the hooks tend to break off after a while- after three of them broke in the space of 3 months, I had to dispose of it.

Answer:	On the Little Giant website, go to the "What's New" section, and those are the features the Revolution model offers above and beyond this model. To recap, the Revolution is approx. 20% lighter, has a quad-lock hinge (4 pins instead of 2 in the lock), and due to the new pins, it has a new lever called a "Rock Lock", which is a push and release lock on the sides to adjust the ladder. While any sort of weight reduction is a good thing (when still rated for the same load), don't let this weight reduction fool you into thinking the original model is overly heavy. I have the 22' model, and I find it easy to move around. The quad locks are debatably useful, as I have never felt my 2 pin design was unstable or even the least bit wobbly. The redesigned release locks do sound nice however, as the original ones take a little getting used to.

Answer:	I don't think it locks, but it collapses very easily by pulling on the indented handle in the middle. Just hold the handle and pull up and it collapses. I suppose if a hand or finger was holding onto a side, it might get pinched, but I don't imagine that happening. Collapses very easily just by pulling on the handle and it stays collapsed. Very handy little stool to have around.
