Adjust Eyecups & IPD

The interpupillary distance (IPD) is the distance between the center of your left and right pupils. Match the IPD of your eyes and your binocular by rotating the barrels in or out until you see a single image free of shading.

Focus Your Binocular

Use the center focus and diopter to adjust for vision differences in each eye. Choose an object about 20 yards away and perform this two-step process:

1. Close your right eye or cover the right objective lens with your hand. Look at the object with your left eye and adjust the center focus dial until the image is in focus.
2. Close your left eye or cover the left objective lens with your hand and rotate the ring until the object is in focus.

Neck Strap

Attach the padded neck strap in these three simple steps.

1. Push a few inches of the strap through the strap attachment on the binocular.
2. Hold the buckle and thread the end of the strap through the buckle.
3. Adjust the overall length, then pull tight until strap secured within the buckle.

Lens Care

Answer:	Don't see a binocular listed at $58 on Amazon. If the questioner could give the name and number, (e.g., Celestron 7332 Nature DX 8X42), I'll take a stab at an answer.
Question:	Is this a good bin for star gazing and looking at the moon
Answer:	For holding with hands better than a x50 but not as good as a x35 or x25. If you have a mount a x50 or x60 would be better. These binoculars are better suited for bird watching where star gazing is a secondary function.
Question:	Which is better for the stadium, the 8x42 or the 10x
Answer:	Most 10x42 binoculars have a field of view of about 300 feet at 1000 yards. This means you just need to be over half a mile from the field and you will be able to see everything unfolding on the field, and it will appear much closer than if you looked at it from a 1000 yards with your naked eye.
Question:	For beginning birdwatchers, is the 8x42 or the 10x42 better
Answer:	8x42 until the amateur birder becomes more proficient in identifying birds and his/her use of bins. I used 10x50 in my start of the past time, and then switched to 10x42. I also use 12x56 bins since they serve better for long distant viewing and identification.

Question:	How far can you see with these (i.e. 5 miles/10 miles
Answer:	You can see the Moon and Saturn, and stars. How far can you see a specific item with sufficient definition to identify it? Determine how far you can do so with the naked eye and multiply by the binocular's magnifivation, e.g., if you can identify a person in a crowd at 100 yards easily, you will be able to do so equally well at 1000 yards with a 10x binocular. A bird at 50 yards will appear through the binoculars as it was 5 yards away.

Answer:	Usually eye relief of 11mm or more works good for people with glasses. This one has 17mm eye relief. So this one should be okay. Again, this is theoretical and personal comfort needs to be taken into account.

Answer:	10x magnification versus 8x magnification. If you're bird-watching, hunting, etc., 10x is better. If you're watching a football game, needing low light capability, or genersl-purpose observation, e.g., standing watch on a ship 8x is better.

Answer:	The right side lens has a diopter adjustment if that is what you are referring to as "focus relief". The eye relief is quite good on these as well. Unless you are near legal blind level nearsighted, you shouldn't have any problems.

Answer:	Fogproof binoculars are sealed and purged internally to prevent moisture from entering. Fogging may render a binocular useless. Question:	should i buy this or the nikon trailblazer 10x25 lifetime warranty
Answer:	I am not a big fan of X 25. Just does not let in enough light for my needs. So I went with the x32 . I just wanted a knock around that was not too compacted. But you get what you pay for. These Wingspan are Ok, more substantial with better view than the smaller nikon 10x25. Nikon lens' are better but still too small. Trade off.

Answer:	Yes.... Nice case. The strap is not too nice. There's a very nice one for sale on Amazon for 7 or 8 bucks.

Answer:	Good size for kids and anything smaller than 32 seems to make it difficult for them to find the object. Bigger sizes make the binoculars themselves heavy. I like these and would recommend you give kids lots of instructions and practice.

Answer:	You don't want to submerge them. They will stand up to fresh water splashes but not full out dunks. I'm comfortable taking them in a kayak but not on my board.

Answer:	Shipping weight (including box) is 1.5 pounds. This would make them lighter than traveling with your iPad/tablet. Just purchased these so I can travel with these on safari later this year

Answer:	Certainly the clarity of binoculars is what is key for star gazing, as well as other outdoor endeavors. These would be fine for basic star gazing, though they wouldn't have the same clarity as an expensive, top-level pair of binoculars. They would be significantly better than an entry level, cheap pair of $20 binoculars. Remember that the magnification is only 8X, which for star gazing is not very powerful. For star gazing, the best tool would probably be a telescope on a tripod, both because of the higher magnification and the stability a tripod provides.

Focus Binoculars

Use the center focus and diopter to adjust for vision differences in each eye. Choose an object about 20 yards away and perform this two-step process:

Neck Strap

Answer:	Never had a problem. We have owned 2 for many years.

Answer:	I would say...a qualified "yes." You are going to have a nice wide field-of-view and sharp focus. The 40mm objectives are not going to allow a huge amount of light gathering but you will have portability and that counts for a lot - a light, sharp and accurate optic is more useful than a large and bulky choice. Even if that means giving up some "reach."
Question:	does this set of binocs have a separate focus for one eye, or is it a one step focus on a central dial
Answer:	Main central focus with dioptic adjustment for the right eyepiece.
Question:	with such a large field of view, is edge sharpness an issue with these
