Answer:	Yes! It has over 400 rhythms with room for 499 or so.. It has rock, hard rock, jazz, blues, Latin, Reggae and African beats. It is challenging to get the Bass to play in something other than E Maj. If you want to play in min keys, you need to write the bass part yourself. I find the rhythms a little busy, so I edit them and save them to another location. Building rhythms is easy and with the FAST write mode you can string the rythyms together to make songs. It has 99 spaces for songs. There is a limit to it's memory but I have not hit it yet. AGAIN playing in any Key but E Maj can be frustrating and time consuming. I haven't found a short cut yet, although I am sure there is one. The instruction manual is 99 pages long and not everything about it is intuitive. Take an hour and read the manual (you have to down load it). It will save you weeks of banging your head...I forgot to tell you that it has different qualities of rhythms. You can leave it were it is which is good, or you can make the sample time faster. Faster sample time means less memory. It also has a swing setting, so if you are doing jazz you can adjust the "swing".

Answer:	You have to go into "record " mode. Set the time signature, and hit whatever sound you need for that part of the beat. It is very tedious. I actually spent about an hour doing about 5 measures. What I do now is record a basic beat , then go back and hand key the drums kinda freestyle on a separate track. When I'm happy with it, I erase the first track, or just take it down.

Answer:	I like the sounds for electronic music , but not sure about the programmed patterns for your use, a yamaha machine may better suit your needs and have a more natural drum sound, J

Answer:	Smallest toy is around 8 inches long. All pieces are big enough to see and find underwater. My two grandsons (6 and 4) really enjoyed them in the pool last year. Also, they have drawstring mesh bag for storing when not in play and this really helped keep toys together.
