Answer:	Before I put it on it was a 50/50 chance of my finger print activating the device. With the tech armor on I do not even try anymore as it never works. So, for me, no, the fingerprint activation does not seem to work with the glass on. It creates a ridge around the button so suspect the finger does not flay flat enough to be fully read.

Answer:	I am now on my third or fourth protector in several years. For me, it has definitively protected my phone against breaking — I broke screens a few times before I had this shield. Now, for the same types of drops, including drops onto concrete that had earlier shattered the screen, the shield breaks but not the screen.
