Answer:	Mine caught on fire with a little 1500 watt space heater, and to compare, my hair dryer is 1875 watts (not plugged into a smart plug of course), so it doesn't take much for these to catch on fire. Be careful if you use anything in it larger than maybe a desk lamp in my opinion. I unplugged all 3 of my kasa smart plugs and won't use them anymore.

Answer:	Two parts to this answer... First, yes it retains it's settings if the power is off or it's unplugged. Second, I powered on my lamp then unplugged the unit from the wall. Upon plugging it back in after a couple seconds it turned itself back on (the last state it was in) and within a few more seconds re-connected to my wifi network.Hope this answers peoples questions about power outages and operation...

Answer:	My initial response is yes, but why would you want that configuration. You would have to plug the smart plug into an outlet that you want to control with the smart switch. This seems like a redundant operation. Have Alexa turn the smart switch on to power the outlet that the smart plug is plugged into and then have Alexa control the smart plug. Perhaps a little bit of "over-kill"?

Question:	What is max wattage of device to be connected to Smart Plug
Answer:	As of March 2, 2017 these devices quit working with Amazon Echo. I had 2 of them that worked fine from November 2016 until yesterday but they both quit working with Amazon Echo at the same time (they do still work with their own app and my Amazon Echo still works with all the other devices I control with it). I did some searching online last night and it appears it wasn't just me. There were lots of complaints from other users on the Alexa "skills" section who reported their TP-Link smart plugs quit working with Alexa yesterday. Hopefully this is a temporary situation and the people at TP-Link will get the problem resolved but as of this morning I would NOT recommend these devices if you want to use them with Amazon Echo.

Answer:	This is just a remote on and off switch, it doesn't have the ability to adjust voltage or dim lights. It will only work with appliances and devices that have a physical on off switch that can be put in the on position permanently.. In other words if you turn the device on and unplug it from the wall, when you plug it back in it should still be on. If the device you're trying to control utilizes a logic switch for on-off control then the logic switch needs to default to the on position for this switch to work. In other words if a device you're trying to control defaults to the off position when power is cut then the switch won't be able to turn it on
Question:	Can I use this to plug in my motorhome to an outdoor outlet
Answer:	I would not recommend that type of load on this device. Although it works great for most smaller things I don't believe the wattage would support that type of large draw on the amps on that connection.
Question:	Anyone using this on a snow melting heated walkway system? I need to control remotely in a mountain home when away
Answer:	This outlet is designed to work at 120VAC @ 15A. total maximum. If your driveway heating system operates within these limitations, I would think this should do the trick. I would spend what you think would be an appropriate amount of time to supervise the switch/system to ensure you don’t exceed the limitations of switch/system.

Question:	What's the difference between the "new wifi simple setup" and the "classic mini
Answer:	Mine caught on fire with a little 1500 watt space heater, and to compare, my hair dryer is 1875 watts (not plugged into a smart plug of course), so it doesn't take much for these to catch on fire. Be careful if you use anything in it larger than maybe a desk lamp in my opinion. I unplugged all 3 of my kasa smart plugs and won't use them anymore.

Question:	How many joules
Answer:	Yes. I use it for that same purpose. According to Current, commands are transmitted to and stored in the unit. This of course is necessary for your desired use as once the network power is turned off you cannot access the plug from a remote location. But since commands are stored in the unit is can restart itself. Understand that you will have to issue two separate command routines to the unit. One to turn it off and a second to tur it one. Those to commands would be set to a specific clock time and because of that must be at least one minute apart. Just to be certain I usually set ours for a two minute restart. Your mileage may vary.

Answer:	Through the Currant App, you will be able to see how much energy the appliance uses on an hourly basis, as well as the total length of time it is on during a given day. You can also switch to a monthly or yearly view to see trends over longer periods of time. We do not have IFTTT integration or data exports available yet, but it is something we will consider for the future.
