Answer:	Hang on. I believe the question is whether a transformer is used or if digital power electronics are used. The latter is extremely efficient. Cockcroft Walton multipliers and Marx multipliers have existed since the early 1920s. Yes, 100 years ago. This wouldn't require a patent unless it was invented before 1950. Voltage detection in less than .5 msec was available then too. So it's unclear why a patent was even awarded. Efficiencies over 95% are the norm today. So it matters. A transformer is far less effecient. DOES IT USE A TRANSFORMER for conversation from 220 to 110 and 110 to 220? That's the question.

Answer:	I'm actually in Singapore, so my plug is different. Australia uses the "canted" plug such as there: http://www.amazon.com/Tmvel-Universal-Australia-Travel-Adapter/dp/B00BSD8U8W .. but the idea is the same. .. You might just get some of these, for everything else that's "US", that can just plug in with a straight adapter. Many small chargers can accept the higher Australian voltages with no problem.This unit does comes with an adapter that has two round pins. Use this adapter WITH the Australian adapter! One little "gotcha" that I found, is that using the adapter with the three prongs will short out the unit and blow the fuse! By using the two pin adapter in the setup, you effectively bypass the third (ground) plug, and you're good to go!Modern US (flat screen) computer monitors and flat screen TVs work great with this unit. I have seen nothing the suggests that there is any after effect of the difference between the US "60hz" and the rest of the world's "50 hz". You should have no problems! Enjoy!

Answer:	Assuming that you have not mistakenly consider this as a UPS or battery backup..As long as you need, if you are consuming less than 1000 W of power. Confused ? do the maths, and find out the total power consumption of all devices connected to the output of the transformer. Each and every device should have a power rating such like , 200 W, 5 W, etc.. sum them up, and if it is less than 1000 W, you are safe to use it continuously as long as you need, given that there is enough ventilation for the transformer to cool down.If you have more than 1000W power hungry devices that needs to be connected to the transformer at once, think of upgrading to a higher transformer as there is no guarantee how long will it last for while in use.

Answer:	No, this will not work for AC.
Question:	Would the t5000 work for a 3000 watts 220-240 kettle
Answer:	It will, but it probably isn't necessary. Most laptop/computer power supplies will accept from 100-240v input. READ THE FINE PRINT on the computer's power supply itself and look for the input voltage. If this is the case with yours, then you'll only need a simple travel adapter (cost well under 10 dollars) or a replacement cord with the proper plug to fit your wall outlet.

Answer:	The problem is that most countries will not have circuit breakers That could take 3000 W draw when you initially turn on this unit. That was the exact problem I had in Tel Aviv.
