Plus it does offer spike protection. I'm not sure what you mean by high end, but my system cost ~$10000 without adding speakers. In short, I'd buy the G5BLK again.

Answer:	I purchased this unit for my home theater system and, yes, it will protect connected equipment against power spikes/surges up to 3400 joules of energy and also provides filtering/isolation to reduce audio/video noise. 3 of the 9 outlets are always on, which is ideal for connecting networking devices like cable modems, wireless routers and network switches. The other 6 outlets can be turned on and off using the main power switch on the front. We turn ours off at night to reduce "vampire" power draw when the home theater components are not being used. When the power button is pushed the outlets are automatically powered on (or off) in sequence to reduce power spikes cause by in-rush currents when multiple devices turn on or off at the same time. Note that you need to hold the power button a couple of seconds for it to turn off, so an accidental quick push doesn't do it. It also has a convenient outlet on the front. It's a bit expensive, but worth it to protect your even more expensive home theater equipment. Hope this helps.

Question:	Will this work with F-type screw
Answer:	The PL8C will only work with 120 volts unless the wall wort is rated for 120-240 volts in which you would have to adapt the plug in for the receptacle. I also looked at the pl plus and I believe it is only rated for 120 volts. Is your equipment 220-240 volts if so you will need a conditioner that is rated for 240 volts. They are expensive!!If none of your equipment is 240volts you don't need a conditioner for 240 volts. Just because you hook up a bunch of equipment to the conditioner doesn't mean you need more voltage, it stays the same. But you need to watch how many amps you are pulling if you have a bunch of equipment and are pulling a bunch of power. They are rated at 15 amps, which means you can run 80% or 12 amps continuously through the conditioner and your electrical system (if the circuit is 15 amps). Are you in another another country which uses 240 volt power. If so get a conditioner for 240 volts. It would probably be rated for 20 amps. Hope this helps.

If not, a GOOD power conditioner is very important on electronic devices. It should clean up irregularities in the generator vs line electricity. If I were you I would put a decent conditioner on important electronic devices. Not Monster etc., but a Nice Furman as you are looking at. Don't bother with things that don't cost s lot. Answer:	I tried and it worked but I had an issue where my directv signal strength dropped about 20%. Answer:	You need a combiner, not a splitter. I have that setup already on my home and I had to get a special one that combines the signals and also allows power pas through to both antennas so you can put a pre-amp on each antenna.

Answer:	This device is a passive junction connector. Amplification may be required depending upon the distance your signal has to travel. Mine works fine without amplification and the signal travels over 50 feet from the source to the box.
