Answer:	I very much doubt it. This is a "line level" amplifier. Line level voltage is much higher than the voltage coming from a microphone. This amp is not designed to amplify a microphone.

Answer:	USB ports supply 5V, not 12V, so, no, you can't power this thing with a USB cable.

Answer:	If you mean could you listen to headphones in the car with this, it is possible if you are a good technician or if your car unit has a “pre” or “pre-amp” output. Trouble is the device has a wal-wart that wants alternating current and concerts it to direct current but you could look around for a CLA with the proper output voltage and tip. So with a pre-amp output, the proper cabling, (rca l/r to 1/4” stereo or trs) and the appropriate power supply this will power headphones in your vehicle. CAUTION: Using headphones while driving is illegal in many jurisdictions- check your state or local traffic codes. This will not drive speakers well by the way... the output power is too low. Question:	Are the individual outputs amplified beyond normal "line-level" voltages? In other words, if the input is at max volume, will the output be louder
Answer:	The amplifier circuit has a maximum voltage gain of 10 (20dB). However, the actual gain you can get will depend on the impedance of the headset you plug into any given channel. The design calls for a 47 Ohm output resistor for each channel, but the two I received were manufactured with 470 Ohm resistors installed, so the output impedance was ten times what it was supposed to be. People getting units assembled with this error will see far lower gain than they should. Beware!

Answer:	I am using 19V. I would go with what is printed on the back panel, not going beyond 20V.

Answer:	Mine came with a USB cable that has an adapter on the end. The adapter is 5 volts DC. On the back of the headphone amp itself, it says "DC 5-20 Volt."
Question:	What is the advantage or disadvantage of using a power supply voltage higher than the 5v you get through the usb to dc cable
Answer:	I use a 6 volt wall type supply and it works great. I have not tried higher voltage. The reason I don't use USB power is because I have multiple program sources (including a PC) and I want the amplifier to be independent of the PC. I use the tape outputs on my preamp to drive the Douk. Output level is more than adequate for any of my various headphones. Overall I think its a great product and I'm quite happy with it . If you get sufficient output using a USB supply then, perhaps, you might consider continuing to use it that way.

Answer:	You need a male to male stereo cable from the headphone jack of your receiver to the input on the headphone amp. Most receivers use 1/4 inch TRS headphone outputs and the headphone amp uses a 1/4 inch TRS input, so it's likely you need a 1/4" male TRS to 1/4" male TRS cable, but you need to check your receiver jack size (most smart phone use 3.5 mm jacks, and jacks, so if your receiver jack is larger than your phone headphones, then it's 1/4"). These cables are available in various lengths up to even 50 or 100 feet

Answer:	What kind of microphone did you buy? If it is a USB mic you can just plug it into your laptop of computer. If it is a dynamic mic (doesn't need to be powered) you will need an xlr cable, audio interface or mixer, as well as some monitors/speakers/headphones to hear it with. Same goes for a condenser mic but you will need an interface or mixer that provides 48v phantom power to power the mic or else you will get no signal. I would like to know what you're doing and if you meant to post this question on a microphone instead of a headphone amp.

Answer:	Yes, using this I found that the output signal was a higher volume than the original signal, tho it’s not as good as a dedicated amp, it will boost your volume as well as split it 4 ways.

Answer:	Though not ideal, it is not impossible. It is certainly is not designed for that. You would have to use a splitter cable, and both users would have to share the one volume nob. If the impedance on the headphones is particularly low it could cause distortion by loading down the output circuit. There are headphones apms that have multiple outlets that don't cost much more than this one that would be better suited to use by 2 users. Or buy 2 of this one. Thats what I did

Answer:	Although the manual doesn't reference the fuse, there is one (5x20mm? 250V?) which is contained in a holder at the bottom of the AC jack module in the back panel of the HP60. The fuse should have markings of the type and rating. Should probably contact Presonus for details.

Question:	how does this sound quality compare to the behringer p1?...is it more compact than the P
Answer:	I purchased this item to test in my home studio. On stage, I am provided a Shure p6 which cost around $500. The Presonus is very close to the Shure (at 1/5 the price) but the Beringher is not even close. The Presonus is clean with tons more headroom (volume). You also get the Y cable with the Presonus as you do with the Shure. This allows me to run a stereo mix. In order to do this with the Behringer, you will have to run two XLR cables to the pack. Hope this helps.
