Answer:	No. It does not.
Question:	How loud is the sound
Answer:	It depends on how loud you want it. I think it has a good range. We live in a small ranch style house and I turn it up while cleaning and am able to enjoy it, or I have it on for background noise while cooking. I really love this player. For the money and for as simple as a model it is, I really recommend it.

Answer:	No to both. The recording software gets installed on a computer, which is connected via USB cable to the Victrola. The CD player on the Victrola not a CDRW. There is no place to plug a USB drive on the Victrola, the USB output for a computer (with the recording software) is not a standard USB, it's like the end that plugs into a printer (type B?).
Question:	can the stylus be replaced
Answer:	I believe you can replace the stylus. a if you look closely near the stylus you can see the red plastic piece with the stylus. These are replaceable and sold on amazon as well.

Answer:	The AT-LP120-USB has an isolated power supply, so no grounding wire is needed or necessary. The ground between the turntable and your receiver is carried through the outer ring of the RCA connector.

Answer:	The AT-LP120 has a built in pre amp so you can plug into the red and white rca aux. in jacks on the back of your Bose Wave. It is an excellent turntable but look at the owners for instruction regarding the pre amp settings. It will have to be in the on position.

Answer:	Hey Robert, you are correct, this turntable does not have internal speakers. This may seem like a hassle but typically internal speakers aren't very good. What this turntable does have is it's own built in pre-amp. A pre-amp is required to convert the sounds off the record, into any receiver. So since this turntable has a built in pre-amp, it allows you to hook it up directly to speakers, where you'd otherwise need to buy a preamp as well. I couldn't recommend this turntable more. It's the best for it's price range, and I've loved using my own. As far as storage, most record collectors use the Ikea Expedit. It comes in various sizes and the 2x2 and 2x4 models are great for keeping your turntable on top. However, ikea has stopped production on the expedit, though there is a replacement model called the Kallax which is supposedly the same this, just different material. I'd look into it. Question:	A few people said that for those of us who listen to Classical, the cartridge that is installed is rather S...Y. What do most of you think about this
Answer:	FYI: Prior to 2013, this turntable shipped with a DJ cartridge/stylus rather than the AT95E it currently ships with. The original cart DJ cart was certainly more susceptible to pickup some rumble as the motor is not as well isolated as some more expensive turntables and this could be an issue with classical records; for pop music the DJ cartridge was acceptable. I don't own an AT95E cartridge but I have other AT current cartridges at a similar price point and they are very good with classical records.
Question:	Will the arm return and stop the plate at the end of the LP
Answer:	You can buy a $50 gadget that will lift the tonearm at the end of playing a LP but the table will still spin. It's sold at Music Direct for about $49 and is worth it just in case you forget the record ended or your in the Kitchen cooking :)
Question:	Best replacement phono cartridge for this unit? anyone
Answer:	I've always been partial to the Stanton Groovemaster V3. You just have to plug in in, and it's perfectly aligned. You need to balanced it, that's it. It like a sizable amount of pressure to sounds its best. Stanton recommends 2-6 grams. I'd push it all the way to 6 grams. You'll be amazed at the sweet, yet powerful sound. This professional cartridge will compete with others costing much more. I think it's one of the best, and it's perfectly suited for Audio Technica AT-LP 1240.

Answer:	Yeah they do. They don't come with cartridges/needles though. And in that case I recommend the shure m44-7's.

Answer:	The specs on the Lp1240 are slightly better, but my final decision was based on the 1240 being quite a bit heavier than the 120 which suggests that the 1240 is more rugged. This might be of special interest to you since you will be carting the TT around to venues. This wouldn't be that important to me since I'm using the TT in a home enviornment to dub LPs to CD. But possibly in the long run the 1240 might have a longer life.

Answer:	My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible.
Question:	So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers
Answer:	No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music.

Answer:	Yes you can... The turntable has a built-in preamp. You want to buy powered speakers. They sell tons of them now. The best I have heard were KRK powered speakers. To get a good idea of what’s available, check out the needledoctor or crutchfield websites.

Answer:	The main differences are the MDF 40WN vs plastic plinth 120x, belt drive 40WN vs direct drive 120x, and the carbon fiber upgraded tone arm of the 40WN vs a low end tone arm 120x. Also theres no mention of there being a speed monitoring system for the motor of the 120x. The 120x has a plinth mounted led and a USB output that the 40WN doesn't if that's important. To sum it all up if your aim is to listen to records casually, you dont really care about the hifi, and you have no interest in upgrading the stylus cartridge then the 120x isnt a bad choice. Yes the 120x has the VM cartridges just the same as the 40WN but the tone arm of the 120x would need to be upgraded to really benefit from the change of the cartridge. Also you run into the possible motor vibration issues of direct drive that can affect the sound vs a usually preferred belt drive which isolates the turntable from the motor vibration. My opinion is to spend the extra $ and get the better turntable, the 40WN is much better looking to my taste as well.

The direct contact between the stylus and the grooves in the disk is abrasive. A heavy tonearm is like 100 grit sandpaper and a light tonearm is like 600 grit. I transfer all my LPs to tape and CD. Most of my LPs have only been played two or three times in decades. Limited use and proper storage keeps my collection pristine.

Answer:	Not that I'm aware of. You can adjust the volume, subtitles, language, ratio, and there's also an option to zoom. I haven't seen an option for length or minutes left in the film but if you stop midway and come back to the film it will ask if you want to start over or resume where you left off. It does not display the time.
Question:	I need to play a video clip over and over. Is there a loop mode on the menu
Answer:	Videos loop seamlessly and indefinitely. The player will also automatically start back up with no user intervention in the event of power failure.

Once playback on a side is complete, the platter will spin for a few rotations before stopping. This tone arm however, does not have an auto-return feature. Answer:	That's what I use the Dragonfly (Black) for. I expected a subtle improvement, but found it to be night and day! The cheapo DAC and output stage circuitry that's built into the laptop was really limiting the sound quality.

Answer:	I hesitated to answer this question since it's about 4 years old now, but I'm sure somebody else will be wondering the same thing. I must say it's one of the most illogically comical questions that I've ever read. Let me explain. It's like asking if using jet fuel will improve the grass cutting performance of a lawnmower. Obviously, it won't. You just need a more efficient lawnmower. The DAC + preamp + plus headphone amp merely will make the headphones louder but NOT make them sound better. In fact, most low-cost headphones (in the $10 - $30 range) typically suffer from sibilance (hiss), muffled bass, tinny highs, too dominant mid-range, and distortion at higher volumes due to using low-quality components. Therefore, it's highly probable that the AudioQuest DragonFly will make cheap headphones sound exponentially worse. As the old saying goes: "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."

Answer:	If you are on a Windows machine, you'll want to download foobar2000 to use as your dedicated music player. There are many forums online which go into great detail on how to set up foobar2000 as it does appear to be quite complicated at first glance so I won't bore you with any of the specifics here; but once you get the hang of things it does get a bit easier to understand and follow the UI and the possibilities you have with foobar2000. You just have to do your research; Amazon is not the best place for this sort of thing if you ask me. I personally prefer ASIO over WASAPI; FiiO has their own proprietary ASIO driver uniquely designed for the E10K which you can download the firmware for on their website. You will also have to download and install the necessary ASIO support component which is available on foobar2000's website. If you do buy this DAC/AMP and plan on using FiiO's ASIO driver like I do, be aware that you have to close out of all applications using ASIO before disconnecting the E10K, otherwise this may result in a BSOD. They explicitly state this in the owner's manual as well. Lastly, but most importantly you will want to listen to high quality audio sources (READ: Lossless audio). I prefer FLAC encoded music files, but lossless is lossless; it doesn't really matter what codec the files are in. I won't discuss bit depths or sample rates here because that's just another can of worms, but do your best to avoid listening to lossy audio files such as MP3s; you will only be doing yourself a disservice. And of course you want to have some decent headphones :) If you fancy closed back headphones, I can strongly recommend the SRH1540s by Shure. It's what I'm using at the moment.
