13 best drive turntable with usb consumers
USB Connectivity: Turntables with USB functionality typically allow users to connect the turntable to a computer or other digital devices using a USB cable. This feature is useful for digitizing vinyl records, converting analog audio into digital formats.
Digitization of Vinyl Records: One of the primary purposes of a turntable with USB is to convert analog audio from vinyl records into digital files.Users can record and store their vinyl collection on a computer, making it easier to manage and listen to their music digitally.
Software Compatibility: Manufacturers often provide or recommend software for digitizing vinyl records. This software may include features for recording, editing, and organizing digital audio files.
Audio Quality: The quality of the analog-to-digital conversion is an important consideration. Higher-end models may offer better analog components and USB interfaces, resulting in higher audio fidelity during the digitization process.
Built-in Preamp: Some turntables with USB connectivity may come with a built-in preamp. This can be useful for connecting the turntable to audio systems that do not have a dedicated phono input.
Compatibility with Audio Systems: These turntables are often designed to work seamlessly with various audio systems, including home theater systems, stereo receivers, and powered speakers.
Ease of Use: Manufacturers typically design these turntables with user-friendly features to simplify the digitization process. This may include easy setup, intuitive controls, and clear instructions.
Additional Features: Depending on the model, turntables may have additional features such as adjustable tonearms, anti-skating mechanisms, and different playback speeds (33 1/3, 45, and sometimes 78 RPM).
When considering a turntable with USB connectivity, it's essential to review the product specifications, user reviews, and any additional features offered by the specific model. This ensures that the turntable meets your preferences and requirements, whether you're a vinyl enthusiast looking to digitize your collection or someone seeking a versatile audio playback solution.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work with blue tooth speakers |
Answer: | No. It does not. |
Question: | How loud is the sound |
Answer: | It depends on how loud you want it. I think it has a good range. We live in a small ranch style house and I turn it up while cleaning and am able to enjoy it, or I have it on for background noise while cooking. I really love this player. For the money and for as simple as a model it is, I really recommend it. |
Question: | Can you record cd onto usb drive? can you play music from a usb drive |
Answer: | No to both. The recording software gets installed on a computer, which is connected via USB cable to the Victrola. The CD player on the Victrola not a CDRW. There is no place to plug a USB drive on the Victrola, the USB output for a computer (with the recording software) is not a standard USB, it's like the end that plugs into a printer (type B?). |
Question: | can the stylus be replaced |
Answer: | I believe you can replace the stylus. a if you look closely near the stylus you can see the red plastic piece with the stylus. These are replaceable and sold on amazon as well. |

Audio-Technica's AT-LP120-USB direct-drive, high-torque professional turntable is perfect for DJs and other music enthusiasts, especially in an era that many would call "postvinyl," when it's no longer the norm for audio/video receivers or even integrated amplifiers to offer a dedicated phono input. Connect the Audio Technica ATLP120 to your computer to digitize your old LPs (laptop not included). It also includes a selectable internal stereo phono preamplifier and a USB output that connects directly to your computer-perfect for digitizing your old LPs to high-quality MP3 or FLAC files for playback from your computer. The AT-LP120's S-shaped tone arm assembly comes with an adjustable counterweight, an antiskate adjustment, a tone-arm height adjustment and lock, a tone-arm lift with hydraulic action and lift lever, and a tone-arm rest with a locking mechanism to keep the arm stable during transport. The turntable uses a DC servo motor to maintain accurate rotational speed at either 33-1/3 45, or 78 rpm, governed by a selectable, high-accuracy quartz-controlled pitch lock-all of which gives new life to 7- and 12-inch singles you may not have played for years. Unleash your inner DJ with the 'table's pitch-adjustment feature, with variations ranging from either +/-10 percent or +/-20 percent. A pop-up stylus target light and stroboscopic platter speed indicator offer visual assistance in queuing and playing your favorite tunes. Forward and reverse play options unlock countless creative doors. The turntable comes with a cast-aluminum record platter, a slip mat, and a professional cartridge and headshell (model AT95E) that plugs directly into the tone arm. Adjustable, antivibrational feet keep the platter level, regardless of your environs. A start/stop button with remote start/stop input lets you integrate the player with your more sophisticated DJ tools. The player also includes a 45 rpm adapter with storage receptacle for the adapter and for a surplus or replacement headshell (sold separately). User questions & answers
Question: | Why does this turntable not have a ground connector for an external pre-amp |
Answer: | The AT-LP120-USB has an isolated power supply, so no grounding wire is needed or necessary. The ground between the turntable and your receiver is carried through the outer ring of the RCA connector. |
Question: | Can I plug the turntable into the red and white aux in jacks in the back of my Bose Wave radio? Do I need anything else |
Answer: | The AT-LP120 has a built in pre amp so you can plug into the red and white rca aux. in jacks on the back of your Bose Wave. It is an excellent turntable but look at the owners for instruction regarding the pre amp settings. It will have to be in the on position. |
Question: | Hi I am very new to the whole turntable and vinyl records idea. I am doing a special something this year for Christmas for my father. He has 200+ vinyl records not used in 20+ years and I am looking for a turntable to fit our needs? It is my understanding that this turntable does not have built-in speakers and would ne |
Answer: | Hey Robert, you are correct, this turntable does not have internal speakers. This may seem like a hassle but typically internal speakers aren't very good. What this turntable does have is it's own built in pre-amp. A pre-amp is required to convert the sounds off the record, into any receiver. So since this turntable has a built in pre-amp, it allows you to hook it up directly to speakers, where you'd otherwise need to buy a preamp as well. I couldn't recommend this turntable more. It's the best for it's price range, and I've loved using my own. As far as storage, most record collectors use the Ikea Expedit. It comes in various sizes and the 2x2 and 2x4 models are great for keeping your turntable on top. However, ikea has stopped production on the expedit, though there is a replacement model called the Kallax which is supposedly the same this, just different material. I'd look into it. Hope these suggestions help!Cheers |
Question: | A few people said that for those of us who listen to Classical, the cartridge that is installed is rather S...Y. What do most of you think about this |
Answer: | FYI: Prior to 2013, this turntable shipped with a DJ cartridge/stylus rather than the AT95E it currently ships with. The original cart DJ cart was certainly more susceptible to pickup some rumble as the motor is not as well isolated as some more expensive turntables and this could be an issue with classical records; for pop music the DJ cartridge was acceptable. I don't own an AT95E cartridge but I have other AT current cartridges at a similar price point and they are very good with classical records. |
Question: | Will the arm return and stop the plate at the end of the LP |
Answer: | You can buy a $50 gadget that will lift the tonearm at the end of playing a LP but the table will still spin. It's sold at Music Direct for about $49 and is worth it just in case you forget the record ended or your in the Kitchen cooking :) |
Question: | Best replacement phono cartridge for this unit? anyone |
Answer: | I've always been partial to the Stanton Groovemaster V3. You just have to plug in in, and it's perfectly aligned. You need to balanced it, that's it. It like a sizable amount of pressure to sounds its best. Stanton recommends 2-6 grams. I'd push it all the way to 6 grams. You'll be amazed at the sweet, yet powerful sound. This professional cartridge will compete with others costing much more. I think it's one of the best, and it's perfectly suited for Audio Technica AT-LP 1240. |
Question: | does this come with a headshell |
Answer: | Yeah they do. They don't come with cartridges/needles though. And in that case I recommend the shure m44-7's. |
Question: | I am debating between the Audio Tecnica lp120 vs lp1240. Do you guys have any thoughts. I am a wedding Dj and I CLub Dj sometimes |
Answer: | The specs on the Lp1240 are slightly better, but my final decision was based on the 1240 being quite a bit heavier than the 120 which suggests that the 1240 is more rugged. This might be of special interest to you since you will be carting the TT around to venues. This wouldn't be that important to me since I'm using the TT in a home enviornment to dub LPs to CD. But possibly in the long run the 1240 might have a longer life. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I plug this turntable into powered speakers and have sound or do I need a receiver |
Answer: | You can use it in both ways. |
Question: | I have always owned belt drive turntables. I have read that direct drive can be noisy. How is this one as far as rumble |
Answer: | My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible. |
Question: | So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers |
Answer: | No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music. |
Question: | Ok,..in plain english,...can i plug this tt into external speakers? that's all i want it for. if yes,...what type of speakers |
Answer: | Yes you can... The turntable has a built-in preamp. You want to buy powered speakers. They sell tons of them now. The best I have heard were KRK powered speakers. To get a good idea of what’s available, check out the needledoctor or crutchfield websites. |

User questions & answers
Question: | will arm return at end of album |
Answer: | no |
Question: | Do I need speakers for this item |
Answer: | You will need speakers and an amplifier or receiver. |
Question: | is this fully analog or does it convert to digital |
Answer: | Fully analog. |
Question: | What are the differences between this and the LP120X |
Answer: | The main differences are the MDF 40WN vs plastic plinth 120x, belt drive 40WN vs direct drive 120x, and the carbon fiber upgraded tone arm of the 40WN vs a low end tone arm 120x. Also theres no mention of there being a speed monitoring system for the motor of the 120x. The 120x has a plinth mounted led and a USB output that the 40WN doesn't if that's important. To sum it all up if your aim is to listen to records casually, you dont really care about the hifi, and you have no interest in upgrading the stylus cartridge then the 120x isnt a bad choice. Yes the 120x has the VM cartridges just the same as the 40WN but the tone arm of the 120x would need to be upgraded to really benefit from the change of the cartridge. Also you run into the possible motor vibration issues of direct drive that can affect the sound vs a usually preferred belt drive which isolates the turntable from the motor vibration. My opinion is to spend the extra $ and get the better turntable, the 40WN is much better looking to my taste as well. |

Question: | Does this turntable have built in speakers, or must you have external speakers? could i play it through an ultimate ears boom 3 bluetooth speaker |
Answer: | For better sound, external speakers are recommended.I bought 2 speakers last month, the sound quality I think is really good , clear and smooth .you can get my speakershere:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTDNGZW?ref=myi_title_dp |
Question: | What’s the difference lp60xbt-bk and the lp60bk-bt |
Answer: | The "X" line is the newest line of Audio-Technica turntables. The LP60X is an update of the popular AT-LP60, the ATLP60X features a redesigned tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. |
Question: | Weight of needle on record? One oz or does it kill records |
Answer: | I don't know the weight of the needle, but this record player killed my 3 records, rubbish |
Question: | Does the arm/needle damage the vinyls in such a way as the cheap $50 briefcase style vinyls players? Can I upgrade if need be |
Answer: | All turntables degrade the performance of vinyl media. The better the counterbalance of the weight of the tonearm, the slower the degradation. The direct contact between the stylus and the grooves in the disk is abrasive. A heavy tonearm is like 100 grit sandpaper and a light tonearm is like 600 grit. I transfer all my LPs to tape and CD. Most of my LPs have only been played two or three times in decades. Limited use and proper storage keeps my collection pristine. |

Product description
Whether you’re just getting into records, rediscovering a record collection long since buried away or simply adding a turntable to complete your system, the AT-LP60X fully automatic belt-drive turntable is an excellent choice. This affordable, easy-to-use turntable plays both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records and, with its built-in switchable phonon preamp, can be connected directly to your home stereo, powered speakers, computer and other components, whether they have a dedicated phonon input or not. An update of the popular AT-LP60, the ATLP60X features a redesigned tone arm base and head shell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conVersion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. Audio-Technical has been a leader in phonon cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the AT-LP60X’s Dual Magnet cartridge with replaceable stylus. The cartridge is integrated into the head shell for assured performance and ease of setup. The turntable comes with a detachable RCA output cable (3. 5 mm male to dual RCA male), 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover. It is available in black (AT-LP60X-BK), brown/black (AT-LP60X-BW), gunmetal/black (AT-LP60X-GM), and red/black (AT-LP60X-RD).

User questions & answers
Question: | I want to see how much time is left in the video. Is there a way to display the time |
Answer: | Not that I'm aware of. You can adjust the volume, subtitles, language, ratio, and there's also an option to zoom. I haven't seen an option for length or minutes left in the film but if you stop midway and come back to the film it will ask if you want to start over or resume where you left off. It does not display the time. |
Question: | I need to play a video clip over and over. Is there a loop mode on the menu |
Answer: | Videos loop seamlessly and indefinitely. The player will also automatically start back up with no user intervention in the event of power failure. |
Question: | Can I automatically loop my video with this player. Example: I have a one minute video that I want to loop at our trade show booth. Will this device loop the video |
Answer: | Yes, you can. I sell trade show exhibits and this the only unit I use. You can set up the tv at the start of the show and it will just loop the video over and over. |
Question: | Can this device read srt subtitles archives |
Answer: | Yes it can. However, the file must be in the same folder as the movie and with the same name. You can read more about this in the user's manual at www.miccatron.com. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I see it comes with a good stylus. Can it be upgraded to higher end such as ortofon or a higher end AT |
Answer: | You can upgrade the stylus on the AT95E cartridge to an AT95SE, AT95VL, or a AT95SA with the AT95SA being the best stylus with a diamond tip measuring .0002 x .0029 in. Or, should you prefer, purchase an entirely new phono cartridge. |
Question: | Does the "auto-stop" stop the platter from spinning and shut off the turntable |
Answer: | Hello Jazz, thank you for your inquiry. The turntable has a switch to engage or disengage the auto-stop once the needle reached the end of the record. Once playback on a side is complete, the platter will spin for a few rotations before stopping. This tone arm however, does not have an auto-return feature. Please visit our site and refer to the user manual which provides a full detail on the auto-stop feature. If you do have any additional technical inquiries, we do recommend that you contact us directly from our website, where you will have both Live Chat and completion of the online contact form for options. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have powered speakers that I plug into my laptop 3mm headphone jack. Can I use this product to get more volume & better audio quality |
Answer: | That's what I use the Dragonfly (Black) for. I expected a subtle improvement, but found it to be night and day! The cheapo DAC and output stage circuitry that's built into the laptop was really limiting the sound quality. |
Question: | Can you still use inline headphone controls when using the dac with an iPhone |
Answer: | No you cannot nor can you use the mic in the headphones for making or recieving calls ...luckily you do get notification ...and you can just pull the lightning connector to answer the call ..using iphone in normal manner ..i had this exact Q after recieving my unit .. |
Question: | What's the difference between red and black |
Answer: | In performance, both models incorporate the 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC chip, the 9010 in Black and the higher-performance 9016 in Red. While the Black uses the same headphone amp and analog volume control found in previous version, the new Red includes the latest ESS headphone amp and a bit-perfect digital volume control that resides on the 9016 DAC chip itself. In power the Black puts out 1.2 volts: enough power to drive all preamplifier input circuits and a wide range of efficient headphones. The red with its higher 2.1-volt output will be compatible with a wider range of headphones, including power-hungry, low-efficiency model. |
Question: | i know these DACs are mainly for high end headphones , but anyone know if it will make a better (or slightly better) audio on $10 -$30 earphones |
Answer: | I hesitated to answer this question since it's about 4 years old now, but I'm sure somebody else will be wondering the same thing. I must say it's one of the most illogically comical questions that I've ever read. Let me explain. It's like asking if using jet fuel will improve the grass cutting performance of a lawnmower. Obviously, it won't. You just need a more efficient lawnmower. The DAC + preamp + plus headphone amp merely will make the headphones louder but NOT make them sound better. In fact, most low-cost headphones (in the $10 - $30 range) typically suffer from sibilance (hiss), muffled bass, tinny highs, too dominant mid-range, and distortion at higher volumes due to using low-quality components. Therefore, it's highly probable that the AudioQuest DragonFly will make cheap headphones sound exponentially worse. As the old saying goes: "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear." |
Question: | I want to use this for my Audio Technica M50xs. Worth it |
Answer: | Let the specs speak for themselves: FiiO E10 Specs Power Supply Standard Micro USB port Output Power 200 mW @ 32 Ω Sample Rate Maximum of 24-bit/96 kHz supported Signal to Noise Ratio ≥108 dB Digital Output 1x Coaxial digital output, stereo PCM format Frequency Response 20 Hz to 20 kHz Impedance Recommended Headphone Impedance: 16 to 150 Ω ATH-M50x Headphones Frequency Response 15 Hz to 28 kHz Sensitivity 99 dB Impedance 38 Ohms Maximum Power Handling 1600 mW |
Question: | What's the Difference with the E10K & E10? I loved my E10 but it's starting to fail, so I'm looking for a new one |
Answer: | I have both E10 and E10K,1) E10 uses a mini USB cable, and E10K uses a micro USB cable (same as Android phone's)2) E10K uses different chips, which makes its output power bigger3) E10K's bass boost is betterIf you are satisfied with E10, I recommend you to buy the new model E10K |
Question: | What outputs does it have? I see only one headphone out (small jack). Does it perhaps have RCA in the back |
Answer: | there are total three outputs in E10K1. Front: 3.5mm headphone out port - you can use volume control2. Rear- 3.5mm Line Out port - no volume control, you can use 3.5mm stereo to RCA converter cable to connect your RCA devices.3. Rear- Digital Coaxial Audio Output. |
Question: | so you plug this in any usb port and voila?, how do you eq |
Answer: | If you are on a Windows machine, you'll want to download foobar2000 to use as your dedicated music player. There are many forums online which go into great detail on how to set up foobar2000 as it does appear to be quite complicated at first glance so I won't bore you with any of the specifics here; but once you get the hang of things it does get a bit easier to understand and follow the UI and the possibilities you have with foobar2000. You just have to do your research; Amazon is not the best place for this sort of thing if you ask me. I personally prefer ASIO over WASAPI; FiiO has their own proprietary ASIO driver uniquely designed for the E10K which you can download the firmware for on their website. You will also have to download and install the necessary ASIO support component which is available on foobar2000's website. If you do buy this DAC/AMP and plan on using FiiO's ASIO driver like I do, be aware that you have to close out of all applications using ASIO before disconnecting the E10K, otherwise this may result in a BSOD. They explicitly state this in the owner's manual as well. Lastly, but most importantly you will want to listen to high quality audio sources (READ: Lossless audio). I prefer FLAC encoded music files, but lossless is lossless; it doesn't really matter what codec the files are in. I won't discuss bit depths or sample rates here because that's just another can of worms, but do your best to avoid listening to lossy audio files such as MP3s; you will only be doing yourself a disservice. And of course you want to have some decent headphones :) If you fancy closed back headphones, I can strongly recommend the SRH1540s by Shure. It's what I'm using at the moment. So as you can see, there's just a little more to it than just 'plugging in the E10K and voila' ;) Happy listening! |
