Answer:	I have noticed that when I power down one of my laptops, the other takes over but haven't really paid too much attention to your scenario. However, when both laptops (Apple and Dell) are powered on switching back and forth has been seamless and stable. I even have an Amazon Firestick plugged into one of the ports just to see if that worked. It was not a problem.

Answer:	Fosmon will take from one HDMI port and send that signal to either 1 (monitor) or 2 (TV) It's a two way stitch not a three way switch

Answer:	A SPLITTER splits the SAME signal TO DIFFERENT devices. Per example, you have three tvs in a restaurant and you want to play the same signal in the three at the same time. You need one splitter with one input and 3 outputs. A SWITCHER switch the signal to DIFFERENT channels. Per example: you have one TV and you to be able to SWITCH between your Dvd - playstation - apple TV. So you need a switcher with 3 inputs and one output. You only can use one input at the time.

What all would I need, along with this unit, to stream ... and ... record into a computer at the same time

Answer:

I use this to do just that for my Church. You will need some type of HDMI video capture card to get your the video output of the switch into your computer. I use the Decklink Mini Recorder by Blackmagic, and I use vMix to stream. Both are very cost effective. vMix will allow you to record your stream also, however, many streaming providers, offer recording also. Once you get the video "captured" to the computer, there are many options available to accomplish what you are looking to do.

Question:	Can I run an Xbox on two screens while I have a cable box run on the other two screens simultaneously
Answer:	The disadvantages to having a non-powered splitter or receiver have mostly to do with signal strength and length of cable. If you're only going to go 3-6 feet one without power should be fine. I use mine with a 50 ft cable and the powered unit I bought works great for my needs. I have yet to try it out with 4k though, just 1080p so far.
Question:	How does this matrix do remote control over ethernet when it does do have an input for that
Answer:	I had issues with another hdmi switch. Connect XBO, PS4, PC to my monitor. The first switch I got worked fine for XBO and PC. PS4 worked but it was a weak video signal, it didn't seem to have full color, and had what looked like dead pixels all over the screen moving all over the place. I found the issue with the switch was that it didn't have its own power supply, it was powered by the HDMI, and PS4 doesn't seem to send enough power through it for a full signal. I bought a different switch that had its own power supply, and everything was fine. I suspect you may have issues with this one because it doesn't appear to have its own power supply.

Answer:	Not sure about roku 4 but it works with my roku 3 and PS 4 that's what i use mine for. it's a surprisingly good piece of equiptment I think that as long as long as it works with the 3, it will work with the 4.

Answer:	I believe that it is a hdcp 2.0. I have a blueray, wiiu, and direct tv box connected to it and have had no trouble after I replaced 2 bad cables.

Answer:	I use it with a 50’ HDMI cable to an outside TV with no lag at all.

Answer:	I'm happy to say there is absolutely no automatic switching. That feature does not work perfectly and is a pain. I do not want any switch to move until I manually tell it to do so. That way the switching is problem free. I would pay tripple for a switch (like this one) that has no automatic feature. It never works correctly all the time, a hassle.
Question:	Does it work with a fire stick
Answer:	I am using a fire stick and blu-ray player. 2 things how is your fire stick from your router? I moved my router because it said, You have a fair signal. You want a good or strong signal from your router cable modem with router. I also used a high quality 3 foot $ 16 HDMI cable from Home Depot. More money then the the switch. I also have a LG HD TV love this tv. I have no sound lag.
Question:	Do I need an hdmi cable for the single end or is one included
Answer:	You will definitely need 3 HDMI cables, with male connectors on all ends, to obtain full use of the Techole Bi-Directional HDMI Switcher. However, you may need to avoid inputting signals using HDMI cables with Ferrite cores. (HDMI cables with Ferrite cores have a round cylinder located just before the connectors on each end.) I use 2 Techole switchers: One splits a Roku output between my TV and receiver and the other one does the same for a Blu-ray disk player. My first HDMI input cables had Ferrite cores and the Techole switcher did not work at all; no switch light and no output signal. However, when I used non-Ferrite core HDMI cables for the input signals, the Techole worked perfectly, even with Ferrite core cables leading from the Techole switcher to the TV and receiver. As an additional precaution, I used 3 foot HDMI cables to minimize signal loss to the Techole input terminal.
