How is this one compared to the boundless one

Answer:

I have been using Dryel for years. You DO NOT NEED to use the bag, but your dryer will smell of dryel for a period of time afterwards. It's not a bad smell but it is a scent. Your regular laundry clothes will pick it up. (and it doesn't seem to fade from them (likely because they were wet) the way it does from the dry cleaned clothes). Also, as others have said, the bag steaming feature helps the cleaning and de-wrinkling, this does not work as well just inside the dryer. Also, without the bag, the dryer lint filter clogs much faster. For a period of time when I didn't use the bag, I needed to soak and wash my dryer filter often to get the lint out. I later realized (because of the soaking water smell) that it was happening from the Dryel without the bag.

Question:	Does the cleaning fluid contain alcohol
Answer:	Just lightly touch the record held at a slight angle with the turntable on. Record turning. Brush just needs to very lightly touch records. Only need turntable on. Receiver does not need to be on. Just turntable when cleaning. Other wise you might get feedback that could make it sound worse than it is. Brush won't hurt records, but only needs to lightly touch records

Answer:	With this brush...hardly any at all. On a record that is already clean you can use this brush for very light duty dust removal but it will not get down into the grooves where you really need the cleaning.
Question:	Kit lacks instructions so one must guess which brush to use and how. Can anyone provide what the vendor failed to: where/how to use kit's contents
Answer:	I have used these types of brushes for a while now and I don't know about scratches, but I have not noticed the AudioQuest leaving any fibers. And let me qualify about the scratches. Most of my vinyl was bought second hand at garage sales, Goodwill, etc., so they are far from pristine and I would not notice if it added a micro type scratch to the bottom of a groove. Before playing any newly acquired used LP I examine it through a desk lamp with 3 X magnification lens so that I don't play a badly scratch record and ruin my diamond needle. When doing the exam I use the AudioQuest (or a LP Gear X3 cleaning brush if the record is a little dirtier) to remove light dust and eliminate static electricity. Under the loop I see the dust and particles being removed and have not seen it scratch a record. I will add that even after using my original discwasher (with newer D4+ fluid), the AudioQuest brush removes additional dust particles which the discwasher left behind. I have verified this through a 10 X loop and noticed the difference audibly through trial and error and playing a section a few times. Of course the AudioQuest or any similar brush is only for light dust or static. If your LP's are really dirty with finger oil, soil or mold, you need to wet wash them and store them in a proper sleeve.
Question:	Is there any instructions on how to use this cleaning kit
Answer:	No -- it does not leave its own bristles on the disc. If there are fibers on the vinyl before using the brush, it will pick up many of them. Using a clean microfiber towel, or a record cleaning machine first will help for very dirty LPs.

Answer:	I have used this mainly on lamp shades and it also works on clothes. I did use it on wallpaper, did not use it on soot. I have purchased several of these because I wanted one upstairs and downstairs. It has not yet needed to be replaced.

Question:	How do I get the dust off the brush
Answer:	It is a dry cleaning sponge used for cleaning walls that have soot or mold on the surfaces. The sponge worked very well
Question:	Does this cleaning solution leave any sticky, or stubborn, residue on the vinyl
Answer:	I didn't try it on a ceiling - this was recommended to me for fabric walls of office cubicles - I did not think it did a good job at all. It will probably work on a ceiling but I would use the Mr. Clean Eraser Sponges - I used these on painted walls (and many other things - not fabric) and they work great.
Question:	Most discwashers clean in the direction of the grooves...one of the commenters suggests going from center of disc outwards against grooves...Which
Answer:	Honestly it has been such a long time since purchasing this sponge I really don't remember how I used it or cleaned with it. But I do remember I was not very impressed with it.

Answer:	The product is horrible
Question:	Can this be used on 78rpm records? A lot of the systems say for 33/45 only
Answer:	I don't know but they weren't very well made. Fell apart the first time I used them.
Question:	Will this work with large hole records
Answer:	I have been using the product on porcelain toilets. They are amazing at removing hard water stains, without damaging the porcelain. It is a soft pumice-like material strong enough to remove the stains but dissolving so as not to scratch the porcelain. Best product I have ever used for stains
Question:	a weakness of the original obitrac was that the hard rubber spindle would fatigue and break. will there be replacement spindles for sale
Answer:	No, it is not a refullable product. It is something that wears down and is used up the more you use it. is something you scrub surfaces with. It is amazing though. I had huge rust stains from a leakin bath tub and with some elbow grease and the pumice stone it wa cleaned up when nothing else would work.
