Answer:	With as many people who buy Anker’s products there will always be people who will write poor reviews just to hate on the product. After looking at nearly all of the 1 star reviews myself I found a common problem people had with the cables is “they got hot.” I’ve had this set of cables for the past two months and haven’t experienced this problem at all, and additionally I have used the same product line of Anker Powerline cables for the past 5ish years and have never experienced such a problem. I assume a bad batch of cables went out, but from my experience if you do have a defective product from Anker, they will go above and beyond to replace the product and make sure you are satisfied.

You will find any number of good resources. The primary thing to remember is ZERO shielding may come near the center wire conductor. That will cause a dead short and the cable will fail.

But since you want to connect your DTV box and Blu Ray this item will not work for you unless you use adapter or converters. That is what this device was meant to do or act as a way to use coaxial digital to RCA output. HDMI best audio, followed by (SPDF) digital optical, digital coxial, and RCA. I think your best bet is a 2 in 1 digital coxial switch. Then just purchase 3 digital coxial cables. Please let me know if you have any questions. Question:	what does copper clad center mean
Answer:	CC or copper clad is a copper coated wire. Copper clad is, in this case, a 20 gauge steel wire, that is then coated with copper to make it an 18 gauge wire. Since the higher the frequency, the closer to the surface of the wire, that the signal runs, in cable TV service, be it satellite or local, that makes this design fine for TV use.. But, since steel is not as good of a conductor as copper is, this is not good for long runs, in signal, or electrical transmission, as the steel will degrade the signal faster. If you need a run that is long, meaning, more then just in your house, then you would probably want to go more with a solid copper center. But, this is fine for most people.
Question:	Is this cable rated at 3ghz? the directv guy was here and while i have plenty of rg6 cables, he said they must be at 3ghz for hd
Answer:	Yes.. Pretty much any quality RG6 cable, like this, will be 3Ghz compatible. What you want to watch for is pre made cables, with cheap ends. Most of those are very cheap, and will not hold a good signal over any length. This is the better kind of cable, that will be compatible with any cable, or satellite service. What you want to try NOT to use, is any cable that is RG59.. Stick with RG6..
Question:	What is the shielding % of this product? 95%? (I read % is more important than the # of layers - product description says 3 layers
Answer:	Partly right. Any quality RG6 cable, that was not factory assembled, will have a decent amount of shielding, no matter if it is duel (2), Tri (3), or quad (4) layers of shielding. All this does is prevent noise from getting in the line. The shielding is Duel is good enough that, that is all that cable companies run, when they run a cable line. The shielding has nothing to do with signal, as that is run on the center wire, not the outside shielding. What this is, is a piece of RG6 coax that was on a big roll, and then cut to length, and compression fittings put on the end. Compression fittings are the best kind to use. Because of this, it will be like the cable like the cable company uses, and it is water proof too. The cable itself will be about 2 times as thick, or more, then the cheap cables that you buy, that are premade in a factory.

The center conductor is made of high grade copper coated steel that has been swept to 3.0GHz, making this a great application for Satellite, Cable, Wireless (including cell services), and Communication uses. With very low signal attenuation (2.75dB at 750MHz for our 50' cable) it can be used on long runs without the loss of signal or picture. We use high grade 360 degree weather proof compression connectors to ensure that this cable remains water and weather proof, without the loss of any signal. This ensures that the ends can withstand pulling, weather, extreme hot and cold (rated up to 167 degrees F). The coaxial shielding is 60% aluminum magnesium alloy braid and 100% solid aluminum foil (including an 18% overlap) to ensure that there is no interference from neighboring or rouge signals.
