| Answer: | Hello.. I'm not an expert at answering this kind of question, but I'll try to give you a response. I think what you are seeing (the fact that it looks like a two prong set up in the picture) is probably just do to the viewing angle ..like you said. I'm looking at the adapter right now and the device appears to have what looks like a small board in the center of the opening, I presume just like a standard HDMI plug. Not that I'm terribly familiar with HDMI connectors. I noticed that ..If you look at the device from an angle either slightly above and/or below it, it does give the appearance that there are two prongs or pins which can be seen. but I believe it just looks this way due to the viewing angle as you mentioned. So I am guessing that the connector itself is fairly standard on this adapter. I actually ended up not using this adapter in the end. Because it didn't seem to work well with the device I bought it for. I had purchased it hoping to hook my Nintendo Switch game system up to a much older TV which didn't have HDMI connectors. After all was said and done.. I figured that the TV that I was trying to use was simply too old to be used effectively with a newer device.. and the unsatisfactory result was not the fault of the adapter. The image I was seeing/receiving on the TV was only in black and white.. and the TV just did not seem to be able to display the entire image on it no matter what I did. Again I assumed this converter/adapter was working fine.. and my TV was just too old.. so I ended up getting an HDMI television and not using this adapter at all. So as far as I know the adapter itself is probably standard HDMI in terms of its connector. It just didn't work well enough with my really old TV for me to use it properly. I hope that response sort of answers your question a bit. As I said I'm not an expert with regards to HDMI, and I ended up not using this adapter at all.. but I wanted to attempt to answer your question to the best of my ability. Best of Luck!
