Answer:	I bought this cable, because I had to have it for my training class. I had to connect the iMac Terminal to my Dell Monitor by unhooking my VGA Cable and hooking the DVI-D Dual Link cable into the other port on the Dell (back of the monitor). The other port on my Dell monitor is a DVI-D Dual Link, because there are different types of Video connections. This is the type of Video connection my Dell monitor have. When viewing slides, modules, videos, etc., Yes, I am able to hear the sound from the iMac Terminal.

Answer:	have to find out what intake your plasma takes. The D in dvi-d desonates digital only, no analog source. so really it depends on the tv. analog or digital.

Answer:	Actually it is male to male as pictured, run your cursor over the picture and it should zoom in. Both ends have the pins protruding to plug into the female ports on computer in monitor. I used to connect new computer and monitor together. Sorry for any confusion.

Question:	Can i use this cable to connect a PS3 to a DVI monitor
Answer:	Yes, the longer the distance you go the bigger the voltage drop and interference you will experience at higher speeds like DisplayPort v1.2. You will need a more robust cable such as the DVI-2615-HR from DVIGear, but it comes at a price. Their cable is 24awg and each pair is shielded but even at the larger gauge you will need a video card and monitor that can support those protocols. I have a GTX 780Ti and a Dell U2715H for my setup and their 50foot cable and I still can't get DisplayPort v1.2 to work for dual monitors at 1440p. However I can get 1440p to work with one monitor and prefer to keep my gaming rig in a different room. You could probably get 1080p to work dual monitor setup but you can get an HDMI cable to do that plus longer distances; Also since the Dell monitor is native at 1440p, it looks like garbage at 1080p.

Answer:	14 gauge is thicker wire that can take more current. The 18 gauge cord says it can take 10 amps, and the 14 gauge says it can take 15 amps. You just need to match your cord to the power draw of whatever you're plugging in. For example, if you're going to power two PCs with 500w power supplies, you're okay with the 18 gauge (1000w / 120v = 8.3 amps of max current draw).

Answer:	These are constructed using multi-gauge strands of high purity copper conductors. Electrical power is comprised of a range of frequencies where each range, bass, treble and midrange values, travel along the optimal AWG wire gauge for each respective range. Frequencies can also be identified by their radial displacement from "0" zero degrees expressed as cycles. Thus, heavy wire is good for bass where incrementally smaller gauges are ideal for mid and high frequency content with the result being a more accurate spectral characteristic. It likes tuning into your favorite radio station with good reception versus otherwise.

Answer:	This power cable is best used for source components like dacs, cd players, turntables and things like that, unfortunately, for subwoofers or amplifiers or power components, what you want is the Pangea AC-9 wich runs about $175.00. I know that hurts, and this cable would probably be better than what comes with your subwoofer, but it is not the recommended product.

Answer:	First, you should know that I'm not an electrical engineer so consider this with a grain of salt: I would say pretty much ZERO benefit over the power cord that ships with your PS. Quality power supplies (think Corsair...and there are more) do a great job of smoothing out the surges and spikes from your home outlet. A power cord has no effect on these, and any of the alleged advantages this cord offers to a high-end audio product mean nothing to your PC. All it wants is 120v AC and so many amps...even if you have a high-end sound card and few PCs do, these days. If you really want to provide "clean" power, consider buying a UPS. I bought this cord for a WA Firefly Headphone Amp (which doesn't include one, BTW) and frankly, it's very nice, but overkill. I wanted a heavy gauge cord for a type A amplifier and for that, I feel the Pangea product is great, if pricey.
Question:	Any reason to believe that this cable would improve the performance of an iMac
Answer:	I have high end audio components and use Pangea power cables on each component. I use them because they are well built, the plugs fit snugly, and they have three different level of shielding which prevents interference from fluorescent lights and radio waves form things like wireless routers from entering the companies through the power cables. As far as an iMac, I think the same points could benefit you. I use a Mac Book Pro as a digital music server with a USB direct driver to bypass the computer's internal DAC. The best thing you can do to make your computer produce a more clean music stream is to bypass the internal DAC, which is very cheap and not capable of great resolving power. Secondly, a laptop is better than a desktop because you can unplug it from the wall and run it from the battery which eliminates a lot of AC line noise. The power supplies on computers do not reject noise like a quality audio component does. Also, be sure to turn ogg the wi-fi on your computer while using it as a music server via USB. Finally, I would not waste money buying power cables costing hundreds of dollars. In my experience, the Pangea cables can keep up with other, more expensive cables. The very expensive cables do not offer better shielding. As long as your cables are 14 ga. or larger, they are fine. There is no benefit in using lager ga. cables because your house wiring is 14 ga.
