The reason being is that these are line level interconnect cables designed to be used in between components with low voltage line level only signals, as in between a source component like a turntable, CD player, tuner, DVD Blu-ray player, to your amplifier only. Speaker wire needs to be a much higher gauge typically between 11 and 16 gauge for a quality connection that allows the much higher voltage signal coming from your speaker outputs on your amplifier to reach the speaker safely. If you attempt to use line level interconnects with the smaller wire, the electricity will bottleneck at the speaker outputs and on a good day you will only blow up your amplifier. Buy speaker cables for your speakers not these.

I used the cord to connect my Echo Dot to my sound system, so a tv to a sound system is the same principle. I plugged the black end into the Echo Dot and the red/white end into the sound system and selected the right mode on the sound system (for me it was the AUX input mode) and it works great. Question:	Does this fit the fire with a verso fire 7 2015 case? need to make sure it doesn't hang up on the small case opening of around 7-8mm
Answer:	Not familiar with the insignia fire tv. What I used this set of cables for was to go from the headphone jack of a PC to the Aux input of a Pioneer amplifier. If the TV has a miniature headphone jack on it I would think it would work if you're trying to get your TV sound through your amplifier. I would go to the JSAUX website and see if there is a better application.
