| Answer: | A trick question. Yes they are actually two cables (one for right and one for left). Yes the two cables are actually "connected" or molded to each other making it appear as one cable. Can the cables be peeled apart? Yes you can peel them apart but it MAY damage the plastic casing if you don't do it safely. If it helps you, each END of the cable . . . about 5 inches (12cm) is already split. It them becomes molded together as one cable. I tried pulling my cables apart and it looks like they will separate without a problem. If you really need separate cables (not connected/molded together) buy single cables. |

| Answer: | when I first purchased the pedal and software I installed it on my computer and for some reason had to uninstall and reinstall it. when I did that it showed on their system as a duplicate install (or running two copies of their software with only one licence) and it shut it down so I could not open it after like a 30 day trial period. it took me a long time to find a number to call them and they were based in Europe so after many left messages and finally a phone call, I still couldn't resolve the problem and finally bought and used software called Express Scribe by NCH Software that seemed to work pretty well. I was disappointed I couldn't use the software I purchased from Philips, but after a couple of months it wasn't worth the hassle. I hope you have better luck, but you probably need to re-install the software on the new computer. If the old one is still availabel, see if there is an option to remove the license or at least uninstall the software from that computer and then try to reinstall in on the new computer. |

A USB programming stick comes with the module to make the transfer possible. You may also find the volume is limited - increasing the volume of the .wav file recording may be able to help but can also cause distortion if over done. |
