Answer:	I am really not sure how this component is made or what it even contains inside, but maybe something inside the component will break and cut Circuit incase your antenna dose get hit by Lightning. Lightening will probably travel in the coax cable down to either the amplifier if you have one or straight to the back of the tv maybe this device has something inside that will short circuit and cut the path of the electricity. Still always ground your antennas or anything that is going to be outside in a high place.

Answer:	It might be worth a try but the filter is designed to block LTE phone signals. I doubt you speakers are the same frequency.
