Connecting More Than One Television

There are 2 ways you can setup your HD-2605 for use with multiple TVs depending on how much coax cable you need and if you have the LAVA Splitter.

1. You can only use a maximum of 50 ft of RG6 coax cable from the Antenna to the Control Box and up to 50 ft of coax from the control box to each TV as needed if you connect your splitter directly after the control box.
2. If you have the LAVA HDS12 Splitter, you can put it between the antenna and control box as shown above using a total of 50 ft or less of RG6 coax cable from the antenna, through the splitter, to the control box.

Run The Auto-Scan or Auto-Program in your TV menu FIRST thing after install

What do I do when I see a “NO SIGNAL” message on one or more channels? Go over the setup instructions again. Make sure the antenna is powering on, it is pointed in the right direction, and you run the Channel Search on your TV in the menu after you install and connect the antenna. If you are unsure how to run the scan, refer to your TV instruction manual.

Answer:	There is a usb dongle that plugs into the back of the satellite box and the antenna cable screws into it. However the last thing that satellite providers want is you receiving free tv and not all boxes support this connection.
Question:	My house sits below a hill which is difficult to get line of sight to the tv towers. Will this unit take care of getting all the channels
Answer:	You don't have to have line of sight to towers. The antenna has a radius of 100 miles. one thing to take into consideration is your TV tuner. Some are better than others. I have a smart TV and it doesn't work as well as the other TV's I have. Also depends on how many TV's you have on the antenna. I would try to limit them to no more than 2 or three at most.

Answer:	the antenna only comes only one size amplifier. There are a couple of options, 1) it is possible to install an antenna preamplifier between the the power inducer and the TV 2) install an amplifier or amplifier splitter in the line. >>>>> but be careful to much amplification can distort the signal. also when there is no signal nothing one cannot amplify nothing. i.e. when one multiplies 0 with 100 what do you get?

Connecting More Than One Television

There are 2 ways you can setup your HD-2605 for use with multiple TVs depending on how much coax cable you need and if you have the LAVA Splitter.

1. You can only use a maximum of 50 ft of RG6 coax cable from the Antenna to the Control Box and up to 50 ft of coax from the control box to each TV as needed if you connect your splitter directly after the control box.
2. If you have the LAVA HDS12 Splitter, you can put it between the antenna and control box as shown above using a total of 50 ft or less of RG6 coax cable from the antenna, through the splitter, to the control box.

Run The Auto-Scan or Auto-Program in your TV menu FIRST thing after install

What do I do when I see a “NO SIGNAL” message on one or more channels? Go over the setup instructions again. Make sure the antenna is powering on, it is pointed in the right direction, and you run the Channel Search on your TV in the menu after you install and connect the antenna. If you are unsure how to run the scan, refer to your TV instruction manual.

2020 UPDATE: The FCC and TV stations are in the midst of a "channel re-pack" where they are shifting the frequencies of many TV stations.

• Get an Amplified Splitter

You can hook up a separate antenna to each television, but in most cases you don’t have to. A coaxial splitter will feed one signal to multiple sets.

The splitter is a metal box with one port on one side and two or more ports on the other. The coaxial cable from the antenna comes in and the coaxial cables to the TVs go out.

An example of a good splitter is LAVA 4-WAY Splitter. You can actually use this as a signal combiner as well, but as a splitter, the antenna’s coaxial would go into the single port on the bottom.

In-line amplifier flash or no power

TEST YOUR POWER INSERT BEFORE REPLACING IT!

If your HD-8000 TV Antenna power insert LED does not come on, you may have a short on your line.

The power insert has a surge/short detection so if you connect a cable to the power insert that has a short, or if there is a splitter on that line that is not a LAVA splitter, the light on the power insert will flash once, or turn off.

You can disconnect the power insert from everything completely, then only connect it to power, and the light should come back on if there is nothing connected to it.

Usually, people think something is wrong with their antenna, Usually, the antenna isn't broken and it's some other issue.

During this period, you may lose channels due to the signal being temporarily weaker while the real antenna tower is upgraded, or due to the signal coming from a different direction.

How To Connect an Antenna to a TV?

There’s not much to it. Find the F connector on the back of your set. the round one labeled “antenna” or “cable in.” Screw your coaxial connector on

2.In your TV's menu, look for the channel setup option.

3.Select antenna or tuner.

4.Start a new scan.

Every TV is different, so what you see on your screen may not exactly match the steps above.

How Many Channels Will My TV Antenna Get?

VHF is broadcast on RF channels 2 though 13, and UHF is on channels 14 through 36, so there are nearly 33 broadcast channels available (with many more actual TV channels, as each RF channel can contain multiple virtual channels).

There was a time when most broadcast channels were VHF and only a few were UHF. That’s changed with the advent of digital television. You’ll find quite a few stations on those 22 UHF channels.

If you want an idea of what you’ll get, you don’t have to go to the trouble of purchasing and hooking up and antenna to find out. There’s a site called TVFool that can tell you what’s available in your area.

Answer:	This regulates power from 12-24v to 5v to power up to 10A of load that uses 5v, however it doesn't contain a charger type circuit to limit current, so it might overheat and/or fry your phone. I would suggest you get something else that is specifically meant to be used as a battery charger.

Answer:	I wouldn't count on it. lol. It works great. I used it for my LED stick figure costume last halloween. I tried tearing it apart. Its a glob of silicon with raw caps and coils just thrown inside. I don't recall even seeing a pcb. I had it strapped to my body. Question:	Do you have live tech support if i have a problem
Answer:	You would run the HDMI ARC out of your TV to this unit, not from the cable box. Most cable boxes only have HDMI out and not an HDMI ARC.
Question:	How does wind efect reception
Answer:	This ARC switch is used if your TV has an HDMI Arc input/output and your stereo amplifier does not have and HDMI ARC input. You run the HDMI cable out of your TV to this device, then RCA cables to your amplifier. You would probably place this unit near your stereo amplifier. The only downside to this device is the fact you have to manually switch it on and off by pressing the button on the side.

Connecting More Than One Television

There are 2 ways you can setup your HD-2605 for use with multiple TVs depending on how much coax cable you need and if you have the LAVA Splitter.

1. You can only use a maximum of 50 ft of RG6 coax cable from the Antenna to the Control Box and up to 50 ft of coax from the control box to each TV as needed if you connect your splitter directly after the control box.
2. If you have the LAVA HDS12 Splitter, you can put it between the antenna and control box as shown above using a total of 50 ft or less of RG6 coax cable from the antenna, through the splitter, to the control box.

Run The Auto-Scan or Auto-Program in your TV menu FIRST thing after install

What do I do when I see a “NO SIGNAL” message on one or more channels? Go over the setup instructions again. Make sure the antenna is powering on, it is pointed in the right direction, and you run the Channel Search on your TV in the menu after you install and connect the antenna. If you are unsure how to run the scan, refer to your TV instruction manual.

Answer:	I don't remember if I gave this product 1 or 0 stars. Hopefully it was zero. I received 6-8 stations witha 30 year old beat-up antenna that I found in my attic and only 2 with this "pretty" piece of junk. I shouldhave sent it back but it wasn't worth the shipping costs or effort.

Answer:	Only if TV Guide is part of your tv menu. I have a Samsung Smart TV and the antenna grants access to the TV Guide.
