Answer: Of course it does! Even a bedspring used as an anttenna will pick up rf signals. I think your question is, how well does it do on the upper bands and yes it does well. For transmitting, the 1410 is limited to VHF & UHF frequencies at 200W max. The 1411 will transmit on all three bands with 300W max on HF and 200W max on VHF & UHF; this one has tuned radials and an additional vertical whip for HF.
