It may not be flame retardant. If you want to wear it on rainy days, you can spray it with water repellent. The coat will probably last years. You just can't beat Carhartt for warmth and durability. |

Also, this means that it is water repellent and wind resistant, while the j130 is not as resistant as this jacket. If you’re looking for a jacket that will keep you very warm during the winter and will repel a bit of water, the j140 may be for you. But just remember that it is stiffer, which some people find is not quite as comfortable as the softer j130. Another thing I want to mention is that the j140 is made in the USA with imported parts. Some people love the fact that it is made in the USA because they feel that it must be made with higher quality processes. This is totally up to the individual and their own beliefs. |
