Answer: Installing new memory is as easy as on any other modern PC. Pop the cover, locate the RAM slots, remove what's there and add new chips. I'm not sure about its max memory; the highest offered from HP with this rig is 16GB. If you really need to go above that, two factors affect this: processor type and OS level. Since this is an x64 machine, the max memory under Win7 Pro should be 192GB. x86 machines have a max of 4GB no matter the OS; Home versions of Win7 have varying limits from 8 to 16. Careful if you're upgrading to 10 that the machine will still handle the max 192GB; I haven't tried that.

Answer: It is possible to use an 8TB SSD on a unibody MacBook Pro, but it requires manual setup. After installing the drive, power on the MacBook Pro, and hold "Alt/Option + Command + R" to launch internet recovery. (You will be prompted to connect to the internet via a wi-fi network, unless you are connected via ethernet.) Once the recovery console fully boots, open Disk Utility, and select "Show All Devices" from the "View" drop down in the menu bar. Click on the drive, and then click Erase. Set the partition map to "GUID Partition Table" and the initial partition format to APFS (or "Mac OS Extended [Journaled]" on earlier versions of macOS), give the initial volume a name (default is "Macintosh HD"), and confirm the action by again clicking Erase. Wait for the operation to finish, and then quit Disk Utility. Then proceed to install macOS on the volume. As you wait for that to complete, your MacBook Pro will restart at least twice. Once it's done, continue to setup the operating system that was just installed. When done, launch a Terminal window, enter the command "sudo trimforce enable", enter your password (you won't be able to see what you type or erase characters), and follow the prompts to enable TRIM on your device. Answer: So, the hard drive itself does not come with the necessary caddy to install into the unit. The caddy is sold separately. The caddy comes with the screws.

Answer: I'm not a thousand percent sure, however I do believe any HDD mount for PS3 will work. The only reason I purchased one of Amazon was I bought a brand-new PS3 superslim off of Amazon. It does not come with the hard drive mount. And I wanted to be able to sell my old one with the hard drive still in it. Also I need to be able to mount both drives at the same time so I could swap my information from the old drive to the new drive. But the official PlayStation HDD mount box says for PS3 models che3-xxxx so that leads me to believe it fits all PS3 systems. Hope this helps.

Answer: I would assume so, as long as it's the 2.5" SATA drive, and not the M.2 2280. The screw ports it uses are the generic 4 underneath the drive (You can see them in some of the pictures of the drive on Amazon). I used it to drop a WD Scorpio Black 500 GB SATA in my Super Slim PS3, and haven't had any issues. It's not a solid state, but that shouldn't matter.
