Please keep in mind that all versions of the Shuttle are designed specifically for audio/visual applications, and the Shuttle software only applies settings to the currently clicked-on and active program on your computer (the "in-focus" program). If you're looking to use the ShuttleXpress as a controller for Spotify as it's running in the background while you're using a different program in focus (i.e. Spotify is playing but you're currently using a web browser, Microsoft Word or any other program in the foreground), then the Shuttle will only work on the active program (not Spotify) and may not be a good fit for your needs.
